Being a mum changes your life in so many ways.
It is crazy, hectic, mad, totally insane. Children drive you to your wits end. They make you worry about things that you never thought possible. They push you beyond limits that you never even knew you had. They make you shout and scream. They make you so angry sometimes that you could quite literally explode. They are never wrong and will argue that black is most definitely white.
Having children means that you have to be the grown up. Most of the time. You have to make important decisions that can affect the whole of their lives. Sometimes that is a big burden to shoulder.
Children are a huge responsibility.
But with all of the worry and responsibility, the sleepless nights and the arguments, there they are with their gorgeous faces looking at you. Those faces that resemble your own. Those expectant eyes that wait for your approval and always trust you, even if they do argue with you from time to time.
Where would be be without their little squeezy cuddles where they cling on to you as if they will never let go. Without their constant excited chatter about whatever is going on in their heads at the time. Without their excitement and enthusiasm for life. Without their soft warm skin that smells so lovely. Without those gorgeous soft kisses. Without that what would be the point.
For all the bad there are many many more good things and I wouldn’t change my life for anything. Being a mum is the most amazing job in the world and I love it.
Happy Mother’s Day.
