The Rainy Day Box Co Travel Box Review

I absolutely love the idea of receiving a box full of goodies through the post to keep the children amused when they are bored and so I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to review The Travel Box from The Rainy Day Box Co.  Set up by mum Aly, the idea behind the company came from putting together a boredom busting box for her own son and she now offers a range of different boxes and even does a very reasonable monthly subscription box too.

The Travel Box arrived really quickly and A was immediately curious to know what was inside. Things have been a little bit hectic due to it being the school holidays, so it sat on the side and she kept nagging me to let her see what was inside.

Yesterday, we finally had a quiet morning, so I let her have the box to open.

She had great fun opening the box and getting everything out and she was thrilled with the contents;

  • Beach scene with stickers
  • Build a floating boat kit
  • Decorate sun glasses kit
  • Fishing Game
  • Sports Water Game
When you had finished with the contents, there is even a blank frame that can be cut out of the side of the box to create your own masterpiece.
A and I spent a lovely morning playing with the contents of The Travel Box and the really nice thing is that all of the activities are interesting, fun and there are no batteries required, which is always a positive in my book.
I also liked the combination of things in the box as we enjoyed the crafts, but the games are really lovely and the boys have really enjoyed playing with them too.
The Travel Box costs £9.99 and would be a great idea to keep children occupied on a long journey or to take on holiday.  There is also the option to create your own boxes for the same price with the choice of a Bake and Make Box, a Crafty Box or a Games Box, there is also the Original Box and The Spring Box. You can find all of the different boxes here.  I loved The Travel Box as we had such a lovely morning playing with its contents and I would definitely recommend it.
We were sent The Travel Box free of charge for the purpose of this review.  All opinions and images are our own.
