A special Christmas delivery from Hotel Chocolat

Sometimes it is a very difficult job being a blogger and being forced to review chocolate (not!)

Although, in this case, it was a little too easy.  We do all like chocolate in this house and it is fair to say that Hotel Chocolat chocolates are really something very special.  I was asked to choose something from their Christmas range which I can assure you was a difficult job as they have some seriously lovely chocolates and gifts to choose from.

In the end, I opted for the Luxury Christmas Collection as they sounded and looked delicious.  They arrived at around 5pm on Friday afternoon and by 9pm on Friday night, they were all gone.  Every single last one.  I can honestly say that, that is the quickest I have ever known a box of chocolates to disappear in this house.

With chocolates including Rum and Raisin Truffle, White Caramel Praline, Hacienda Iara Salted Salted Caramel and Christmas Mess, the tastes and flavour combinations were amazing.  A good mix of milk, dark and white chocolate means that there is something for everyone although I tried all of them (for review purposes of course) and I loved them all.

Beautifully packaged and when you open the box, the colour and unique design of the chocolates really gives you the ‘wow’ factor and they smell wonderful too.

If you are looking for a really special gift or even for something to treat yourself with, I can absolutely recommend these chocolates.  I would be happy to give or receive them and that would be seconded by my chocoholic husband and the teen who all had the very tough job of assisting me with this review.

I received this box of chocolates from Hotel Chocolat for the purposes of this review.  All opinions and images are my own.

  1. There’s a Hotel Chocolat shop in Oxford. When I used to work, my first bus home (I took 2 each way) stopped right outside the door… Mmmmm :-)

  2. Delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas Goody Bag, although it took three days to get through, rather than four hours!
