Ecover Washing-up Liquid
I am one of those people who would love to be more environmentally friendly but generally I go through waves and then slip back into my old ways. However, one thing that I do regularly try to do is use household products for laundry, washing up and cleaning that are kind to the environment as my thinking is that they tend to also be kinder on me and my family at the same time and far better than constantly reaching for harsh chemical cleaners.
Ecover is a brand that I use regularly already, so I was pleased to be sent a bottle of their Lemon and Aloe Vera washing up liquid and asked me to try it out for five days in place of my usual washing up liquid and see how I found it. I have used Ecover before but my current brand is one that contains extra moisturizers as I get very dry skin on my hands.
The new improved Ecover Washing-up Liquid is a new improved formula which aims to deliver a powerful clean and even though it is 99.8 plant based, it now washes 40% more plates.
So how did I find it? I have been using it for a week now and the interesting thing is that I haven’t noticed any difference in my hands. Usually if I change brands, I do notice my skin starting to dry out after a couple of days, so I think that being plant-based makes this washing-up liquid much gentler on skin, which is a big factor in my buying choices. In terms of cleaning and using the liquid, the smell is lovely, really fresh but not overpowering and a very small amount gives you nice soapy water and it cleans really well. I am really impressed and would definitely buy this washing-up liquid again.

Sylvanian Families Aquabeads
My daughter already has a birthday and Christmas list longer that my arm and top of the list is Sylvanian Families. She has a couple of small sets and loves them, they are so soft and cute I can see why she loves them so much. We have also discovered Aqua Beads this year and A loves them and will happily spend hours creating pictures with the beads.
We were sent the Sylvanian Families Aquabeads to try out and my daughter couldn’t wait to get them out. This is a refill pack which costs around £5 and just contains the beads and templates, you would need to buy a tray and sprayer if you didn’t already have them.
The beauty of Aquabeads are that they are very simple to do, there are always a range of templates from the very simple to the bigger and more complicated and you pop them under the bead tray and use the pattern to place the beads. Once your design is complete, spray it with water and leave it to dry and after a couple of hours you have a cute bead design to play with.
This is a really cute set and would be a perfect pocket-money treat or even a potential stocking filler for a certain time of year that will soon be on our minds. A loved it and I am looking forward to seeing her creations.
