I don’t want to go!

Today was one of those days; a chasing my tail sort of day!  My husband has been in Wales for the week with the three younger children this week so I could do my A Level marking. I finished yesterday (yay!) and an hour after, my tribe arrived home (double yay!) but today has been a crazy day of catching up and the boys end of season football fun day.
I did a mad run around the supermarket to refill our woeful looking fridge and then after tea, the sun was shining and it was a lovely evening.  I suggested we all go out for a walk and was met by moans and groans from everyone. The boys wanted to “relax” which otherwise translates as sit glued to an electronic device of some kind or watching sport on the television.
But I insisted, we went for a really lovely walk down to river where there was a fair and some entertainment as it was supposed to be a hot air balloon festival; however that was cancelled due to high winds.
We had such a lovely walk and a laugh an a couple of hours of much needed quality family time.
They look like they are having a terrible time don’t they?

Kids are all the same, never want to do anything till you kick them out, then they have a wonderful time and deny it was ever an issue! Well done on finishing the marking and for persuading the family to go out with you. Hopefully they will be more willing next time, perhaps we need to relabel “walk” to something more trendy sounding?

Yes it is a relief that the marking is done! That’s a good poit about finding a better word, I will have to think about that!

Ha ha! Bet it’s so lovely to have them back 🙂 My lot are just the same – never want to go out, but then they are so happy to be free. They’re like a pack of dogs that need a daily run!

It is lovely! They were all so pleased to see me, which was fantastic! Much noisier now and I’m back to tripping over balls every five minutes but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
