Our Road Trip to Stratford Upon Avon

We are very lucky to live in a lovely part of the country with the Cotswolds down the road and some beautiful countryside just a short drive away, Cheltenham is one of our favourite destinations for shopping and wandering and that is half an hour away, but our favourite place to go as a family is Stratford Upon Avon.  Home of all things Shakespeare and the RSC, it is a really stunning town set on the banks of the River Avon.  It pretty much has everything covered; nice theatres, nice riverside walks, nice place to have a picnic, nice shops and an amazing park.

So when the lovely people at MoneySupermarket offered us £50 to fill up and go on a road trip, Stratford was the overwhelming choice for us all.

The journey to Stratford is a really lovely one.  Although it is a busy road, it passes endless fields filled with greenery and there are some stunning views.  When the sun is shining, there really is no better place to go.

Once we had played in the park, we went for a lovely walk along the river, took the ferry across before exploring the other side and having lunch.  As always, we had the loveliest of days and I’m sure that we will be back there again before the holiday is finished.

We were given £50 by MoneySupermarket for this post and the challenge was to fill up the car and go on a journey that we love and blog about it.
