Did you know that you can use Gel-a-Peel to create crafty Christmas decorations? No, I didn’t either, but you can and because of the 3D effect of the Gel-a-Peel, you can create lots of different effects with amazing results.
My daughter and I love a bit of crafting, especially at this time of the year. We have a box of goodies with all sorts of festive fun in and my daughter has been adding to it and colouring and crafting away for the last two weeks.Every now and then it is great fun to have a go at something completely different and she was really excited to try out Gel-a-Peel again and make something really special.
We were sent the Gel-a-Peel 2-Tone Kit which has three gorgeous colours, all perfect for some festive fun. The tubes of gel are really easy to use and they come with a range of nozzles to create different patterns and effects with the gel.
Our decorations were a range of festive foam shapes and polystyrene stars all blank and ready to be embellished with Gel-a-peel loveliness. But you could use anything, even card and paper as they gel from the Gel-a-Peel tubes will stick on and once it dries (which doesn’t take long) it is stuck fast.
I set it all up for my daughter to get creative and crafty and as I was sat there, I thought that I might as well join in too. It was quite therapeutic. The Gel-a-Peel is really easy to use and we spent a good hour making funny faces and pretty patterns and we were really pleased with the end result.
Once dry we strung all of our shapes up on some curling ribbon and made some festive bunting to hang up in the kitchen. Simple and effective and completely homemade which always makes decorations a hundred times better.
We love using Gel-a-Peel for crafting and you can use it on most surfaces to jazz up pretty much anything you want to in a fun and colourful way.
We were sent the Gel-a-Peel kit and some decorations for the purpose of this post. All opinions are our own.
