If like me, you are an avid reader of reviews on Amazon, you can’t help but be impressed by the number of positive reviews for Lean Greens. Reading the reviews both on Amazon and the Lean Greens website, made me think that this was something I wanted to try for myself.
I am not a stranger to smoothies, during the week, I make a smoothie every morning. I love them. I love the taste, I love the fact that I get a health boost every morning and I love experimenting with different tastes and flavours. One thing I am not great at though is adding vegetables. I tend to use frozen fruit and I have occasionally added fresh spinach but I generally find it easier to use fruit as we always have some in the house and if I’m honest, it tastes good.
So Lean Greens Super Greens Powder immediately appealed to me. Lean Greens is a green health drink powder that contains wheatgrass, barley grass, spirulina, chlorella, alfalfa, spinach, broccoli, carrot, blackcurrant, blueberry, digestive enzyme blend, green tea extract, Siberian ginseng and stevia leaf. That is quite an impressive list, isn’t it?
Lean Greens comes in a powder form and you can either add it to water to make a drink or add a scoop to your daily smoothie. If you are anything like me, I bet you are wondering about the taste. All of those ingredients sound great and even as an avid eater of fruit and vegetables, it is unlikely that you would manage to fit all of those into your daily diet. But what would it all taste like blended together? Many of the positive reviews talk about the taste and claim that it tastes amazing. I wouldn’t go that far but what I would say is that it doesn’t taste too bad. It is a neutral taste. I can drink a small glass and unlike other ‘green’ drinks that I have tried, it doesn’t taste awful. You could also add the powder to some fruit juice if you wanted to give it more of a flavour.
For me, adding a scoop to my daily smoothie has been the best option. I tend to opt for fruit smoothies on the whole and I have found that adding a scoop of Lean Greens to my smoothies gives me a daily boost and apart from changing the colour, it does not affect the taste at all.
The health benefits of Lean Greens is undeniably good. I have been having a 250 ml glass or adding a scoop to my smoothies for about two weeks and I definitely feel better for it. I feel less bloated and my hair and skin feel better too, so there are definitely positives to adding Lean Greens to your daily diet. It is an easy way to give your body a healthy boost and it is a completely natural form of energy. We all need more greens in our lives and this is the perfect way to get them.
