My New Camera

I have wanted a DSLR camera for a while now and having chosen to have an iphone instead, I had to put the idea on the backburner for a while.  Don’t get me wrong, the iphone was an amazing investment and I love it (possibly a bit too much) and I have taken some amazing photos over the last couple of years. However, I have become fascinated by photography and really want to learn more about it, so this week I decided that it was time to invest.  I bought a Nikon D5100 after lots of recommendations and reading lots of reviews.  It looks like an amazing camera and although it does scare me a little, I am really looking forward to learning how to use it properly.

This weekend, I took it out for the first time and just tried to take a few shots on automatic to get a feel for the camera and the two lenses and I am quite pleased with the results.
