It is birthday week in this house. That time of year when most people are preparing for the onslaught of Christmas, we have three birthdays in mid-December, all within four days; mine, my husband’s and my daughters.
Obviously, the adult birthdays fade into the background as it is all about my daughter and she plans her parties pretty much for the whole year (starting the day after the last one). This year, she has gone from wanting a superhero party, disco, a making party at home (we did this last year and I said never again) to a trampoline party.
We did look at a trampoline party but it was ridiculously expensive and the only food option (provided by them) was takeaway pizza and that didn’t really seem like the best option.
In the end, after A LOT of discussions, we settled on a bowling party. To say she is excited is a bit of an understatement. Luckily, there hasn’t been too much to organise as most of it is done by them and my daughter has decided that this year, she is going to make her own cake as she is quite the little baker. I will let you know how that goes at the weekend, I’m sure.
One thing that always takes a lot of time is party bags. Party bags are an important part of any party and luckily, I have had a bit of help with that this year from Party Bags & Supplies. The Party Packs are for 8 or 16 and there are Ultimate Party Packs or Tableware Party Packs available containing all of the things you need for your party and it works out cheaper than buying everything individually.
Even though my daughter decided to have a bowling party, her current obsession is DC Superhero Girls. I checked Party Bags & Supplies and they have a whole range of DC Superhero Girls party things. Perfect.
They sent us the DC Super Hero Girls Party Tableware Pack for 8 (£11.50) which contains a tablecloth, plates, cups and napkins all featuring my daughter’s favourite characters. She is certainly very happy with it and with such bright colours, it will look great on the party table.
We also received 8 of the DC Super Hero Girls Pre FIlled Party Bags. Each bag is ready to hand out and contains 1 x DC Super Hero Girls Bag, 1 x Disc Shooter, 1 x Mini Sketch Pad, 1 x Puzzle Watch, 1 x Mini Clacker, 1 x Brush, 1 x Ring & 1 x Maoam (assorted flavours). The party bags are advised to be used with children over the age of three. The bags cost £1.85 each and having made my own party bags in the past, I think that is reasonable and they will also save you time.
I am really impressed and have gone back to Party Bags & Supplies to order a few extra bits and pieces for the party. The nice thing about buying the party bags individually is that you can order different ones for different children depending on their age, gender or interests, so you could buy everyone a different one if you wanted to. There are also different prices, starting from £1 so you can also stick to a budget which is really helpful.
Hopefully, the birthday party of the year will be a success and whatever happens, the table and party bags will look really good.
