Christmas Stocking Ideas from Usborne

Christmas Stocking Ideas from Usborne

If I look back at the books that have adorned my children’s shelves over the years, I can honestly say that a lot of them have been Usborne books.  I love them as much as the kids have loved them from the early (and wonderful) That’s not my … range through the Farmyard Tales books, Lift the Flap books on a wide range of topics and the Sticker Dolly Dressing books.  Even as they get older, there are still Usborne books to help with homework and discovery and I would recommend them to anyone.

Usborne sent us a selection of books from their latest range and I wanted to share them with you as they would make fantastic gifts and stocking fillers.

If you have a fan of unicorns in the house, the Unicorns Sticker Book and Jigsaw would be a perfect present.  At just £9.99 the box contains a beautiful and very colourful 100-piece jigsaw of a magical unicorn scene. Also included is a sticker book. The jigsaw measures 59 x 40cm and is full of unicorns to spot, and the sticker book has colourful scenes to decorate with unicorns, flowers and other creatures.

Another gorgeous little book for unicorn lovers is the Usborne Minis Unicorns Colouring Book which is a little book filled with amazing unicorn images to colour in.  It also includes rub down transfers to add even more fun.  At only £2.99 this is a great little book as it is small enough to pop in a bag for those “I’m bored” moments.

The Sticker Dolly Dressing books have been a favourite of my daughter’s for a few years.  She loves finding out about the characters in the book and dressing them in different outfits.  The Little Sticker Dolly Dressing books are a smaller size but they are just the same amount of fun as the bigger version. Each book contains over 200 reusable stickers which can be used to dress the characters in a range of outfits and accessories and there is a fold-out page at the back to store the stickers until their next use. Both the Little Sticker Doll Dressing Christmas and Snow Princess would be adorable stocking fillers, will provide hours of fun and at less than £6, they are great value too.

The wonderful thing about the Usborne range is that there is something for everyone and for younger ones, there are lots of books to choose from.  One of my favourites is the Fingerprint Activities Christmas, which is a gorgeous activity book that also comes with seven coloured ink pads. It is full of pictures to complete with festive fingerprinting, including decorating a Christmas tree and Christmas stockings, gingerbread men and wintry snow scenes. Simple instructions show how to use different fingers to make different shapes to print reindeer, birds, snowmen and lots more. The book is spiral bound to make it easy to use and for £9.99 this is a book that will really appeal to young children and will lead to hours of creative fun.

The Usborne Minis are perfect to pop in your handbag and is an instant boredom buster.  The Sticker Shapes Christmas is a real gem, filled with gorgeous Christmas scenes.  At the back are pages of multi-coloured stickers that you can use to build up the scenes in the book. All this for £2.99.

We have bought so many Usborne books here over the years, they are always such good quality and go down well with the kids. I like the idea of those minis to pop in your bag, too, good plan!
