After last week’s mammoth ‘funee’ story, just a little story today. My two younger boys are both extreme chatterboxes and after a good day at school, it can be a bit competitive in the car as to who gets to talk. They are currently both in the same class at the moment, which doesn’t help as if there is any good ‘gossip’, they are both bursting to tell me.
The other day was a case in point. Something exciting had happened and they were both trying to tell me and both getting frustrated as I was trying to calm them down. The seven year old managed to get in first and the younger one shouted at the top of his voice: “That’s it! Stop the car!” I asked him what the matter was and he said (with little tears in his eyes); “I’m calling the police, he stole my words!” He was quite upset, bless him, but I did chuckle to myself on the way home.
My seven year old also amused me today when we were talking about the word ‘impossible’ and he spelt it out with rather too many ‘o’s’. I pointed out this made the word “impooosible”, he laughed and said that he had invented a new word for when you couldn’t get your poos out!
