I take lots of photos. Since I started the 366 project in January I have taken even more photos and I have started editing and thinking about lighting and composition. None of this helped me yesterday though.
The Olympic torch was passing through our town and L was beyond excited by this momentous occasion. My husband and R were on Cub camp and so they asked me to take some good pictures to show them.
Evidently that was too much pressure. I managed to take a half decent photo of a bus of unknown sporty looking people in the entourage.

Then we waited in the cold, wind and rain for the torch to follow. Ten minutes later there is a flurry of police motorbikes and a ripple of excitement warns of the impending runner, so I am there poised with my camera phone for this impending, once in a life time opportunity.

| There’s the runner – you can see him, just! |

| Nice smiley runner but can’t really see the torch! |

The last one made me roar with laughter as it reminds me of a cheesy Elvis impersonator that I once saw at a wedding reception.
But as for great photos of the occasion, well I think it’s safe to say that I failed miserably. However, I did manage a couple of nice photos of my family (again!)

Ha ha! Nice try! I’ve got some pics of a very tiny Zara Phillips when it came round our way. But, like you, some great photos of my kids!
Well that’s the main thing and at least these photos will make me laugh!
Lol atleast you have the memory of being there to see it 🙂 x
Exactly! x
