So today is the day. I have been thinking about it for a while now. The process of getting to this point has felt like a long one. But I am finally going back to work.
It is only part time; five days a fortnight, but even that changes everything. Child care has been a real issue as the two boys go to a village school seven miles away where child care after school is very limited and A is in a play group in a neighbouring village. I haven’t made things easy for myself have I, but when I was a SAHM, it all worked really well.
Luckily, thanks to some lovely friends and to two wonderful child minders, I finally managed to sort it out and then there has been a few weeks of calm where Christmas and the children dominated everything so I haven’t really had the time to think about it.
This weekend it finally hit home as I got out all of my books and started planning lessons like a mad woman. It is going to be very strange this morning saying goodbye to the children, who all have a training day, and heading off into a real grown up world where I will actually be earning real money but I feel ready and I hope it goes well.
I’ll let you know … Wish me luck!

Good luck! Hopefully you will all settle in to your new routines very quickly.
Best of luck – absolutely certain you will pull it all off 😉 xxx
