Today I had a list of about a thousand things to do.
Housework, school work, shopping, planning, sorting myself out for my insane climb up Mount Snowdon on Saturday.
Did I do any of it? I did not. I looked at my little girl this morning and decided that today was a good day for a mummy and daughter day. A good day for playing and cuddling a making lots of mess.
Today mess didn’t matter. She looked at me a few times when she was tipping stuff everywhere, waiting for me to moan and grumble and I didn’t. I smiled and said it was ok and that we could clean up when we finished.
It was a lovely day. We baked. We played. We played with rice. We snuggled up and watched Peppa Pig. We went out for lunch. Together. When I put her to bed tonight, she gave me a big hug and I know that that was her way of telling me that she had enjoyed our day too.

Awww, mummy and daughter days are my favourite kind of day. I have one planned for this afternoon – so it’s a mummy and daughter afternoon I guess! I haven’t had much chance for quality time with MP so far this week, so we are going to do some cake baking, board games and take a scoot around the park, with no-one else and nothing else to interrupt us!
