Daddy generally makes a good scapegoat in this house, mainly because he isn’t here as much as me and also he doesn’t mind. If something needs doing I am quite happy to nominate daddy, if something goes missing it has been done wrong I blame daddy and if I don’t want to have to make a decision about something I say that we will ask daddy when he gets home.
This week I realised that maybe I need to stop relying on daddy for everything.
We bought a bearded dragon last week for the boys which has caused much excitement as they have been wanting a pet for years.
The lady in the pet shop is fairly convinced that our beardie is a girl but we won’t know for definite until it is a bit older. So R asked if she would have babies. No I said and left it at that.
R went of to consult the oracle that is Google on the matter and was quite excited to did that bearded dragons can have quite a lot of babies and so he kept on about wanting babies.
I explained that Toby (L insisted on this name even though he is probably a she) was on her own and that she couldn’t have a baby without the help of a male.
“That’s okay!” says Ryan, “Daddy is a male, he can do it!!”
Erm no. Not this time.
