Bundles of Joy

Bundles of Joy are a UK-based company who design and make many of their gifts in-house which makes their products not only special but unique too.  The company came from a desire to produce luxury new-born baby, personalised, christening and children’s gifts which were well-made and unique and with a range now of over 400 items, there is a fantastic choice.

I became an auntie last year and as my gorgeous nephew was christened last month, I was on the look out for a special christening gift.  Bundles of Joy came to my rescue with their wonderful selection of personalised christening gifts.  The range includes mugs, bunting, money boxes, photo frames, plates, candles, cushions and more and I was impressed at how reasonably priced the gifts were too.

One of my favourite christening gifts is the Name Gift Box which comes in two sizes and is the perfect thing to package your present in but would also be a beautiful keepsake for the parents.

I was lucky enough to be sent one of the large Name Gift Boxes by Bundles of Joy and inside there was a My Christening Photo Frame which is personalised and will hold 6×4 inch photo and is a perfect way of remembering the special day.  I also received the most gorgeous Cream Christening Cross Blanket  which is the softest fleece blanket which is hand embroidered with the full name, the date and place of the christening.  It is beautifully made and again a wonderful memento of the day.

The gifts arrived in the Name Gift Box and it is a stunning gift which was delivered quickly and they use a courier that texts a delivery slot in advance which is also helpful.  I am thrilled with the gifts and I have seen lots of other gift ideas on the Bundles of Joy website, so I know I will be visiting the site again when I am looking for an original and special gift idea.

wrap.me

I was lucky enough to try wrap.me at before Christmas and I used it to wrap some of the 40 gifts that I bought my husband for his 40th birthday. wrap.me is an innovative wrapping company where you can create unique wrapping paper from a selection of your favourite photos.  It is really easy to do and with a click of a button, you can use Facebook, Instagram or camera roll.  A sheet of paper costs £4.99 or you can order a roll for £9.99 and the effect is stunning.  I was thrilled with my first order and wrap.me sent me an early Mother’s Day treat this week wrapped in a some paper filled with lovely photos from my Instagram page.

nu: era Pop Journal

I may have mentioned my love of stationery once or twice before; particularly notebooks.  I am extremely excited to be working as a National Stationery blogger this year as this means that I get to review some rather lovely stationery in the run up to National Stationery Week which takes place between 27th April and 3rd May with the aim of getting Britain writing.

This nu: Pop journal is gorgeous.  Measuring just over 14 x 9 cm, it is the perfect size to put in your bag and I am already putting it to good use.  It has an impressive off-white lined 192 pages, has a coloured ribbon marker and a band enclosure.

It is an excellent quality notebook with a sturdy cover that will keep your notes safe.  I absolutely love this journal and it is part of a range in different colours and sizes and I will be looking out for a larger version to match.  Find out more about the range here.

PLaySmart from Chad Valley

Playsmart is a colourful new range from Chad Valley.  Aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 8 years old, the range is designed to help children learn through play.  The range uses bright, bold colours and fun games which will help stimulate young children whilst helping them to learn the key skills of numeracy, literacy, problem solving.

 

The PlaySmart Match ‘n’ Learn Jigsaws and Games was an instant hit with my daughter.  She loved the variety of different brightly designed cards in the box and the set of reward stickers which she was very keen to earn.

 

With three activities in one; you can put the mummy and baby animal jigsaws together, put together the mix and match people jigsaws to see what jobs they do (or make up silly combinations which is great fun too) or use the cards to play a memory game and with the set of Space Snap cards, you can enjoy a game of snap.  We had great fun testing out this set and we spent a lot of time talking about the different pictures.

 

The Early Learning Pack is full to the brim with great play ideas.  The sentence-making game encourages children to pick a character and then matching pieces to go with the character and then you can read the sentences out to see if they match.  Again this has great potential for making up silly sentences which are fun.  There is also a rhyming pairs game which can be played as a memory game.  The times table flashcards allows you to help your child with learning those all important times tables and has two levels to help improve their confidence.  There is also a set of simple sums puzzles which can be used to help mental maths and used as a game.

 

Finally, we were sent the Jumbo Alphabet and Number Floor Jigsaws which are big sturdy puzzles that help reinforce numbers and letters as well as hand-eye co-ordination.

I was really impressed with the PlaySmart sets that we received.  It is important to try to keep learning fun and the sets are all fun, colourful and very interactive which means that you can help with the learning in a fun positive way.

Alphabites

 

We are big cereal eaters in this house and so the arrival of Alphabites from Bear were welcomed with delight from my children.  In two yummy flavours; multigrain and cocoa, Alphabites are a fun letter-shaped cereal which are made from six simple ingredients and ‘no nonsense’.  The verdict?  The kids loved them both and we will be buying them again.  We also loved the monster magnets that are currently inside every packet.  Find out more about these and other Bear products here.
