Nutty about Notebooks

April 30, 2015 in Stationery

Today is Notebook Day *gets up and does a happy dance*.  This makes me very happy as I LOVE notebooks.  I have lots of them and often sneak new ones into the house without my husband seeing as he is somewhat concerned about my strange notebook addiction.

Thursday is Notebook Day

Notebook day is of course part of National Stationery Week and I was thinking about why we all need a notebook or two;

1.  A notebook can be used for meal plans and shopping lists.

2.  A notebook can double as a planner or diary.

3.  Notebooks are great for blogging and writing to jot down all of those ideas that pop into your head at random times or conversations that you want to remember.

4.  You can use them as memory books.

5.  Great not only for school work or studying but also for revision.

6.  Bullet journalling is all the rage at the moment and a good notebook is perfect for bullet journalling.

7.  What about using it as a one line a day journal or diary and build up a whole year of one line entries to remind you of your year?

8.  You could use it to keep track of a diet and/or exercise regime.

9.  Create the ultimate bucket list and tick off all of the ones you achieve as you go along and add a few more.

10.  Turn it into a reading log and keep a record of all of the books you have read.

11.  Write down your favourite recipes, this will be a lovely keepsake for your children.

12.  Write that book you have always wanted to.

Notebook Day

So you see, there are many creative uses for the humble notebook.  Personally I have many notebooks and they all serve a different purpose, even if  couple are just to look pretty.  I even have a small one that I carry in my bag, just in case and it proves to be a useful distraction for bored children, a place to jot down ideas and even used to play games.

In celebration of Notebook Day, I have treated myself to yet another notebook and it might just be the best yet.  It is from Bureau Direct and I am besotted.

Everything starts from a dot notebook

Everything Starts From A Dot.

I am going to use this notebook to try out bullet journalling as I seriously need to organise my life.

Happy Notebook Day.

Oh I love notebooks so much but they have to have a margin and punched holes. Is that odd?

No not at all, we all have our likes and dislikes. I like mine to have pretty covers and to be a certain size.

I would be lost without notebooks! I’m constantly writing down things I shouldn’t forget! Although I like the look of pretty ones, I just buy cheap ones as I like to be able to rip pages out and the way I write in them is illogical to everyone but me!

Yes I remember you showing me your notebook once but that is the thing about notebooks, you can do things however you want to. I just love them
