Back to School: Smens, Smencils and Smarkers

August 18, 2015 in Family, Reviews, Stationery

I may have mentioned a few times that I am slightly obsessed with stationery and I do seem to have passed my addiction to two of my children.  My daughter, like me, loves pens, pencil cases, notebooks and pretty much everything stationery related and is already at the age of 5, the proud owner of a pretty impressive stationery collection.  My nine-year old is more selective but he does love notebooks, pencils and rubbers.

Scented stationery takes me right back to my teen years when my pencil case of choice was chock-a-block with an assortment of deliciously smelling pens and rubbers and so the sweet-smelling package I received from DKL sent me on a trip down memory lane and my daughter couldn’t wait to get to work with our new arrivals.

Smens, smencils and smarkers

Smens, Smencils and Smarkers (which by the way are brilliant names) from Scentco UK and they are part of a range of scented stationery that are a whole new level of brilliance and they come with Smencil Buddy pencil cases to keep them all in.    They look cool with a great range of colours and textures and are fun to use and they smell amazing.  With smells like cupcake, cotton candy, apple, ice cream and so many more, these are so  sweet-smelling, they smell good enough to eat.

Metallic Smens

Each of the pens and pencils is in its own little tube which A loved and she carefully takes each pen or pencil out and then puts it back in afterwards. The Metallic Smens are chunky gel pens which smell of  cola, root beer, rock candy, grape snow cone and gum-e-bear.  The ink is shimmery and these were A’s favourite as she loved drawing with them.

Smarkers

Made from recycled newspapers, Smarkers are scented felt-tip markers which are perfect for colouring in.  With smells of bubble gum, grape soda, cherry vanilla, cupcake, water melon and cotton candy there were some wonderful smells in the room when A was trying Smarkers out.

Smencils

Stencils are also made from recycled newspaper and they are packs of five HB pencils, each with a different smell.  Again, Stencils come in a freshness tube and each tube has a different collectible character top which is really cute.  Coloured Smencils are also available.

Smencils

The Smencil Buddy Pencil Case is the perfect accompaniment to the pens and pencils, made from silicone, it has a wonderful texture and has a silicone scented character attached to the zip.  It comes in four different colours and each one has a different scented character.

Smencil Buddies Pencil Case

The Smencils, Smarkers, Smens and the Smencil Buddy are all wonderful products and make writing and drawing a really sensory activity.  A can’t leave them alone and I have to admit, I am quite happy as they smell when she is using them as the smell is amazing.

Trying out the Smarkers

All of these products from Scentco UK would be perfect to prepare your children to go back to school and they add a fun aspect to drawing, writing and colouring.  A has been using them to practice her writing, so anything that encourages the children to do some school work gets a thumbs up from me.

Smencils are available from Jollys Toys, Smarkers are available from Amazon, Smens are available from Amazon and Smencil Buddies are also available from Amazon.  Find out more on the Scentco UK Facebook page.

We were sent these products for the purpose of the review.  All opinions are our own.

Scented pens!! The stuff of my childhood. I remember having pens that smelt so good that I actually licked them because I was convinced that they must taste great too.
