A Hotter Treat for Mother’s Day Feet #HotterLovesMums

February 22, 2016 in Reviews

As I have mentioned on many occasions, Hotter is now my absolute go to shop for shoes, boots, sandals and the blissful feeling that I get when I sink my tired toes into a pair of Hotter shoes is an unbeatable feeling.  I also mentioned my Hotter obsession to my mum and it didn’t take her long to go and take a look for herself.  I must explain here that Imelda Marcos has nothing on my mother when it comes to shoes, she loves them.  Not only does she love them but she buys lots of them.  She has been known to buy favourite pairs in several different colours.  So, when it comes to shoes, I have to bow down to her greater appreciation and knowledge.

She visited Hotter and she was hooked.  Like me, she loved how comfortable they were and she was surprised by the range of styles available.  She too now has quite a few pairs of Hotter shoes in her endless collection.

When Hotter invited us both to the Worcester store for a Mother’s Day treat, I really was a very popular daughter indeed.  It was a nice excuse to go and spend a girlie afternoon together and we made an afternoon of it.  Being the shoe connoisseur, my mum had already done her homework and had been through the website with a fine tooth comb, searching for the perfect pair of summer sandals.  She has found them, chosen the colour and was ready for action.

Personally, I like to browse in store and with the help of the always helpful assistants, find my next perfect pair.

Having visited a few Hotter stores now, one thing that I always find is that the staff are helpful, never pushy and they know the brand and the styles inside out and are always really passionate about the Hotter brand.  I like that and I think it is a testament to how good the Hotter brand is.  The staff in the Worcester store were amazingly helpful and keen to find us both our perfect pair of shoes.

My mum had decided that she wanted a pair of the Jenna sandals.  New this season and available in white pink and navy, the Jenna is a leather sandal which has a nice plait design, removable insoles and touch-close fastenings. My mum loves sandals and she felt that the white would be the perfect colour for her.  New in, the white wasn’t in stock but luckily mum was able to try on a pair in pink to see how they fitted and felt.

They were perfect but she still wanted them in white.  Not a problem, a white pair was ordered for her there and then and would be sent out later that week.  My mum was delighted. Sure enough, her sandals arrived on Wednesday and she couldn’t be happier.

On to me.  I have been living in boots, so wanted a pair of nice shoes for spring that I could wear to work.  There were lots that caught my eye; Bliss, gorgeous new Jewel patterns, Papillon and the Lulu in white (I have a pair in black and I am certain that I will be going back to get the white for the summer).

In the end, I opted for the Antoinette Heels. These are completely different to anything I have had before but even with a heel, they are so comfortable and they look lovely. They are a soft suede slip-on with extra cushioning and a lightweight flexible sole.  Unlike some heels, these don’t feel like you are wearing heels at all, which is perfect when you are on your feet a lot during the day.

I love the bow detail across the front, the floral interior and the fact that they are so comfortable of course. I’m looking forward to going back to work tomorrow to give them a try.

Mum and I really enjoyed our Hotter Mother’s Day treat and we both agree that a pair of Hotter shoes are the PERFECT Mother’s Day treat and as #HotterLovesMums, it is fair to say that Mums Love Hotter too.  So why not treat your mum to a new pair of shoes this Mother’s Day?
