Taming the Tangles with Tangle Teezer

Children’s hair is fun, isn’t it? With knots, nits and tangles, I have lost count of the hours I have spent trying to tame their hair over the years.  In this family alone, we have had thick unruly hair, fine and difficult to style hair, long and extremely knotty hair, one who twizzles his hair into thick knots when he’s tired and two with very sensitive scalps when it comes to brushes.  So when it comes to choosing the right brush, none of them are the same and getting the right brush for each of them can be a tricky job.

Luckily, I have discovered Tangle Teezer.  The name says it all.  Brushes that are designed specifically to deal with all of those tangles and they are gentle on the head, tough on tangles. Exactly what I need. Plus there is a range of brushes to choose from, so I can have a stylish Tangle Teezer that will fit perfectly into my handbag, have one designed for thicker hair for the boys and one pretty girly one that is soft on sensitive scalps for my daughter.

Choosing a Tangle Teezer to review was a tough choice as there are so many lovely designs to choose from. For the boys, I picked the Men’s Compact Groomer from the Compact Styler range.  These clever brushes are perfect to pop in bags to use on the go as they are small and lightweight and have a cover that slots in place to protect the bristles from dirt and damage.

It might be small, but it is perfectly formed to get through even the knottiest hair with ease and there were none of the usual complaints from the boys about it hurting their heads or being too scratchy.

My daughter is a challenge when it comes to brushes.  She has a really sensitive scalp and very knotty hair and I have spent a small fortune on brushes over the last year, trying to find something that will work.

For her, I liked the look of the Salon Elite range which are bright and colourful and suitable to use on wet and dry hair, which with long fine hair, this is a really important feature.  She loved the look of it and declared it to be the best brush ever and will now only use this brush for her hair.

There are lots of different Tangle Teezers to choose from, many of which do different jobs, and I am really impressed with the two that we were sent.  They are comfortable to hold and lightweight and most importantly, they do the job of taming the tangles with the utmost of ease.
