The Mosaics range from Craft Time is really lovely. The idea of ready made mosaic stickers to make something that a child can use at the end makes it a really great craft activity. My daughter loves crafts and has always loved stickers but she is also a notebook obsessive (like her mother) so the Mosaics My Pretty Journal from Craft Time was perfect for her.

Great value too (coming in at around £10) the kit contains everything you need. The journal is a good sized hardback notebook which has decorated pages inside. It comes with over 500 self-adhesive glittery foam tiles in a range of colours along with some self-adhesive jewels to add some extra bling. The set is also a perfect size to take away with you and would make a lovely travel activity as it is mess free and easy to carry.

It is so easy to set up and use but it does come with instructions too. You simply take the journal which has colour-coded spaces where you place the foam tiles and off you go. It couldn’t be simpler.

My daughter spent ages on her journal and wouldn’t stop until it was finished. She thoroughly enjoyed doing it. The tiles are used all over the book, front, back and side and it is only when you have finished that you can see the completed picture; a butterfly. It looks amazing when it’s finished. We love it.
There are quite a few foam tiles left over, as well as the gems, so you can use them inside if you want to.

Once you have finished decorating, it is time to use your journal. The inside is really pretty and my daughter loved the way the pages were decorated.

So the question now is what will she use it for? She hasn’t decided yet but she loves it. It might be a journal for her summer activities. It might be a place to write secret notes. It might be a place to write about her favourite DC Superhero Girls characters. Whatever she does decide to use it for, she will enjoy using it as she created it and it looks awesome.

We were sent the Craft Time Mosaics My Pretty Journal for the purpose of the review. All opinions and images are our own.
