I am always on the lookout for clothes for my daughter than suit both her age and feminity. She is really tall for her age and even though she is only seven I buy aged 10 clothes and it can be a struggle to find clothes that fit and aren’t too grown up for her.
This summer, I have seen a change in my daughter’s tastes. She has always been what I would call a ‘girly girl’ loving dresses and flouncy skirts. Last summer, I struggled to get her into anything that resembled trousers but this year, she has chosen more trousers and leggings often saying that they are more practical when we are out and about. She does still love her dresses and skirts though and I hope that this will continue for another few years. when we first looked at the Angel & Rocket website, she loved the
We looked at the Angel & Rocket website together and we were both cooing over their range of clothes for girls. You can see straight away that this is no ordinary collection. With styles and patterns that really stand out, you can see that they have achieved their aim to be a brand with charisma. A family run business, Angel & Rocket aims to produce unique and distinctive clothes for girls and boys which reflect their personalities. Every item of clothing really does stand out and my daughter would have quite happily had the whole collection. She loved the styles, the colours and the fact that they were all so unusual.
As you can see, there are so many lovely things to choose from and that isn’t the whole range. In the end, we settled on this gorgeous outfit. The Nora Lace Skirt (£30) and the Tilly Bow Blouse (£25). I liked both as they would be suitable for the late summer going into autumn and add a pair of tights and a cardigan and they would work for the winter season too.
Both the blouse and the skirt are the most amazing quality and as soon as she put them on, my daughter said she loved them. I was very impressed with the quality.
The Tilly Bow Blouse is a perfect top as it will go with so many different things. A has worn it a few times already with the skirt but also with leggings and trousers. The bow detail makes it very feminine and you could wear it for playing in the park or dress it up for a party. I love the attention to detail with the bow and also the ruffle at the top of the sleeve. It is 100% cotton and washes and irons really well.
We both adore the Nora Lace Skirt. It is quite heavy, being made from a combination of embellished lace with a mock leather trim. The skirt also has a cotton lining. It is suitably ‘flouncy’ and my daughter loves swirling around in it. It is absolutely lovely and again washes well. I know that my daughter will wear this a lot over the next few months.
