Zoomer Zupps Pretty Ponies are such cuties, I was rather taken with them myself but of course, had to hand it over to the impatient 8-year-old standing with her arms folded and a determined look on her face. That look soon disappeared when she saw her Zoomer Zupps Pretty Pony and she immediately started cooing over it and telling me that it was called Lilac and look there were other colours to collect …
Two things my daughter loves in one toy, a cute colourful pal to play with and a collectable. Perfect.
Zoomer Zupps Pretty Ponies are the latest addition to the already impressive Zoomer toy range from Spin Master. The Pretty Ponies are pint-sized versions that fit perfectly in the palm of little hands and once switched on they spring to life and respond to touch and do tricks. There are six Pretty Ponies to collect, Star, Lilac, Nova, Sugar, Dixie and Electra and each pony has not only its own colours but also its own personality.
We were sent Lilac to review which was perfect as my daughter loves all things purple. Batteries are included with each pony, so as soon as Lilac was out of the box, she was in my daughter’s hands neighing away happily. Each pony also comes with their own special comb and a collector’s card which tells you a little bit more about your own pony as well as all of the other ponies you can collect.
So what can the Zoomer Zupps Pretty Ponies do? Apart from looking cute, they have soft brushable manes and tails, they respond to being stroked and patted or having their noses pressed. Each action causes a different reaction, they make adorable pony sounds, their eyes flash, they play music, you can play a game with them and each one comes with its own special secret trick. The more you play with your pony, the happier it becomes and each pony has its own style of music.
My daughter absolutely loves Lilac and is saving up to buy her another Zommer Zupps Pretty Pony friend.
I asked her why she likes it so much and there was a long list of reasons. She loves the size and the fact that not only does it do so many different things, she can comb and braid the mane and tail. She liked finding out Lilac’s secret trick (we aren’t going to spoil the surprise and tell you what it is) and she loves the bright colour and design.
According to my daughter, the only thing that would make it better, apparently, is if the legs moved. The legs can be moved backwards and forwards but the pony is static and doesn’t move by itself, apparently chasing around would make it more even more fun.
Zoomer Zuppz Pretty Ponies are suitable for children aged 4+ and cost around £10 and are perfect for hours of imaginative and interactive play.
