There is something new winging its way to toy shops this week and my goodness has it caused some excitement in this house. I present to you the all-new Party Popteenies from Spin Master. Party Popteenies are the newest collectible toy and they are going to be causing some serious excitement amongst little toy lovers everywhere.
Every day is a party with Party Popteenies. Our first Party Popteenies came in a brightly coloured tube called the Surprise Popper (RRP £4.99), with no clue to what is hiding inside. Unzip the plastic wrapper, read the instructions and then you simply pull, twist and pop to get your own party started.
Each Surprise Popper is easy to open and pop. You pull off the bottom to discover some hidden party accessories and then twist and your Party Popteenie will pop out of the top with a fabulous flurry of colourful confetti.
And the confetti is amazing! A mixture of shiny shapes and cute little pictures, my daughter was almost as excited by the confetti as she was by the Popteenie inside. She scurried around at the end of our popping session and it has all been collected up and put into a box to be used again or recycled for craft projects.
The Surprise Popper is brilliant. The twist and pop is such a great idea and it really adds to the excitement of the unwrapping of each toy. There are three different party themes to pop. You might find a Rainbow Unicorn, Cutie Animal or Winter Wonderland Party Popteenie!. Each doll is unique and ready to party with party outfits and accessories from sunglasses, bags, hats, hair bands and even pets. They also bring their own food and drink with tiny cakes, bottles and more. The attention to detail is amazing and these miniature party dolls are amazing quality and the party theme is so much fun. There are over 25 fab Rainbow Unicorn, Cutie Animal or Winter Wonderland Party Popteenies to collect and they are all super cute and colourful.
If you go for the Double Surprise Popper (RRP £9.99) it’s double the excitement. Packed into this popper are hidden layers of fun. First of all, pull to separate the two poppers and discover your first layer of surprises. Wrapped inside adorable packaging are mini accessories and your doll’s pet bestie. The surprises continue as you pull, twist and pop each popper! Within a cloud of colourful, collectible confetti you’ll find an exclusive Party Popteenie, wearing a fab, glittery outfit. Pop your second popper to discover deluxe party accessories. The Double Suprise Popper is really cool. With so many exciting accessories along with the glittery outfit, my daughter was in raptures. She loved it so much and we also landed theRainbow Unicorn Cake as our party accessory and even I had to admit that that is just the cutest thing.
Each Double Popper includes themed stickers and chip décor for even more party fun.
Finally, we were sent the Party Surprise Box ( RRP £14.99) which is another way to discover the fabulous world of Party Popteenies. The box is wrapped like a gift, this playset has a small window into what’s hidden inside. Accessories and a cute pet are hidden behind doors and my daughter said it felt like opening an Advent calendar all in one go.
There are two packages, one hiding cute accessories and the other holds furniture and as my daughter discovered, the whole packaging acts rather nicely as a room to get the party started in with streamers and balloons and you can even flip over one of your packages to create a dancefloor and add your stickers too. Of course, this set wouldn’t be the same without confetti and there is a mini popper which you can pull apart and release a pool of sparkling confetti.
Party Popteenies is a really appealing toy. I would give it a big thumbs up for originality, excitement and fun. The whole process of popping the toys out is hilarious and the fact that the confetti is so lovely makes it even better. The dolls themselves are the perfect size for imaginary play and I love that they come with party accessories and furniture means that they will be played with over and over. My daughter is hooked at £4.99 for the Surprise Popper, it is affordable to collect a few more without breaking the bank. She loves her Party Popteenies and will be having lots of parties with them over the next few months, I have no doubt.
