One of the best things about the holidays? Gift sets! If you have a skincare obsession like the rest of us, get ready to hear some great news about one of your latest faves – Sunday Riley. The Houston-based brand is releasing a fantastic three-piece holiday gift set that is going to be available to one thousand lucky fanatics.
The skincare company has a very dedicated fanbase, and the brand is also the brains behind more than just a few best-sellers at Sephora. Beauty product lovers everywhere know that new launches, despite their wait lists, are worth the excitement – but even we didn’t brace ourselves quite tightly enough for this one!
If you’ve heard of Sunday Riley’s product called Good Genes, you are one of the lucky few – it was discontinued earlier this year, so many of you probably haven’t. It was a much-loved lactic acid treatment that became a favourite among its users due to its powers of skin-smoothing and glow-giving properties. Fans were devastated, but the product was recalled due to U.K regulations limiting how much lactic acid could be utilized in a skin-care treatment.
Those devastated fans in the U.K actually turned out to be quite lucky, as the new version of Good Genes was released in the U.K., substituting glycolic acid for the lactic acid. This new-and-improved version of Good Genes is going to be available stateside very soon, as part of the holiday limited edition set.
They’re calling it the Early Access Kit, and they aren’t kidding when they say it’s limited! There will only be one thousand kits sold including the new glycolic acid version of Good Genes. The lucky customers will also receive two more S.R. products that will not be released until their official launch early next year.
Along with Good Genes, the second product has another clever and inspiring name – C.E.O. Glow. It is based with turmeric face oil and vitamin C and has the same properties you love from C.E.O. Serum. Basically, it’s a face oil that gives you that glow you love. The vitamin C comes in its most potent form within THD ascorbate, along with turmeric and vitamin E, C.E.O. Glow is the addition to the C.E.O. family you never knew you needed.
The last product in the Early Access Kit is the aptly named A+ serum. This retinoid serum is truly pro-strength, potent, and gives out fast and positive results. The only disadvantages to having such a strong retinol concentration are the potential for peeling or irritation. The brand recommends developing a skin tolerance to retinol, but also adds botanical ingredients such as ginger, Bisabolol (derived from chamomile), and Hawaiian white honey to combat any negative results from the retinol.
The Early Access Kit is full-size products, the three of which, together, add up to a net worth of $230. Those who are able to snag an Early Access Kit will only pay $185, and for now, are the only ones who will be able to try any of these products in the states.
Sunday Riley may or may not be launching the updated version of Good Genes, with glycolic acid, in the U.S. – we will have to wait and see! Rest assured though, Riley lovers can get A+ and C.E.O. Glow in January and March of 2019, respectively – mark those calendars!!
