On Review – Ion8 Leakproof Steel Vacuum Flask

April 3, 2019 in Reviewing

I love that my kids are sporty.  We have been through many different sports and we have spent countless hours by the side of football pitches, rugby pitches, swimming pools, netball courts and more over the years.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind.  It is worth it to see your children doing something they love and apart from the occasional moan when I have to drive over an hour away for something or I am standing out in the middle of a hail storm, I don’t mind.

One thing that I have discovered makes life easier is having an insulated bottle.  I have never been one of those people to carry a flask around and I would often glance at those parents cupping their cold hands around steaming cups of tea or coffee and feel quite jealous but I never really liked the idea of a flask.  Then I discovered insulated bottles.  The joy of them is that they look just like a normal drink bottle and they keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot.

The latest addition to my bottle collection is the Ion8 Leakproof Steel Vacuum Flask and I have to be honest and say that I LOVE it.  It looks amazing, really sleek and it can be opened with one twist, making it really easy to use.  The flasks come in a range of colours and two sizes 500ml (RRP £19.99) or 280ml (RRP £14.99).  They are also 100% leak-proof and BPA free.  The ridged cap opens with just one twist, and the wide mouth provides a smooth, rapid flow. ThermoShield double-walled vacuum insulated 18/8 stainless steel keeps your drink at the perfect temperature. Keeps drinks hot for up to 12 hours, or keeps water chilly cold for up to 24 hours. These drinks bottles stay sweat and condensation free, so you don’t have to worry about rings on your table or dampness in your bag. They are also the perfect size to fit most cup holders, bike bottle holders and external mesh pockets on rucksacks.

During the summer months, I was happy to be able to take my cold smoothies knowing that they would stay cold and fresh wherever I went. But during the colder, winter months,  my Ion8 Leakproof Steel Vacuum Flask has been a godsend on those cold Sunday mornings on the side of the rugby pitch. It has certainly helped to keep me warm and I am no longer jealous of those parents with flasks as mine slots easily into my bag and never leaks.

I was sent the Ion8 Leakproof Steel Vacuum Flask for the purpose of review.  All opinions are my own.
