When I opened the Swizzels’ hamper that I was sent to review, I let out a little squeal of delight. There is something about Swizzels sweets that make me really happy on many levels. Firstly, I love them. All of them. I have yet to find a sweet treat from Swizzels that I don’t like. Secondly, there is something quite magical about seeing all of those lovely treats all in one box. Finally, Swizzels’ sweets take me back to my childhood. Walking home from primary school with my mum, we walked past a little sweet shop every day and I would go in excitedly clutching my 10 pence piece and I was always so thrilled with my little bag of treats. Swizzels were always my favourites back then and there are some sweets that take me right back to those days.
Refreshers are my favourite, closely followed by Love Hearts and Double Dips come in at third place. But to be honest, I can happily eat them all.

These mini packs of Love Hearts are in distinctive pink packaging and you can order them in a bag of 30 which come in a cellphone bag with a bow. Inside the mini packs, you find the regular Love Hearts but the pink wrappers look amazing.
I have to admit that I didn’t realise Swizzels make sweet hampers but they are such a lovely gift idea. Their retro sweet hampers come in a wide range of variations with different combinations of sweets. There are hampers for vegans and vegetarians, personalised hampers or hampers for lovers of Squashies. Most of the hampers are around the £10 or under and they come in either a bright red gift box or a wicker basket.
I was sent the Retro Red Sweet Hamper 500g and it is crammed full of old school classic sweets. The contents may vary but include a combination of some of the following: Love Hearts, Rainbow Drops, Squashies, Refreshers, Drumsticks, Parma Violets, Double Dip, Double Lollies, Fizzers & Fruity Pops.
