5 Reasons to Take Your Family to Florida

November 21, 2022 in Living

Whether you’re looking to take the family on a vacation to the Sunshine State or you’re considering moving to Florida, there are tons and tons of reasons to come and check it out. Beyond the beautiful weather, the pristine beaches and amusing activities, Florida is a laid back and vibrant place to live or visit. Here’s some more reasons to take your family to Florida.

1. Very Affordable Homes

There is no shortage of affordable new homes in Clermont FL. You might be surprised at just how much bang you can get for your buck. The state has lots of land and a pretty low cost of living, so homes are more inexpensive by the square foot than in many other states. And when you factor in the fact that many of these beautiful properties are in close proximity to a beach, it’s hard to pass up.

2. Summer All Year

Maybe it’s not a full blown summer all year long, but it’s not far off. The average temperature in July is around 82 degrees fahrenheit and 61 degrees fahrenheit in January. Winter in Florida is far different from winter in Virginia or the United Kingdom. With such sunny and temperate weather from January to December, it’s hard not to want to make the panhandle your permanent home. And if you’re into growing a garden, you certainly won’t be disappointed by the long growing season or the wide array of fruits and veggies you can grow.

3. Nature

Getting in touch with nature is easy in Florida. There are 175 state parks and nine state trails to explore. The Everglades are subtropical wetlands that are home to an incredibly diverse and unique ecosystem. There’s nothing else quite like it. Whether you visit in the wet season or the dry, you’re sure to make a lot of discoveries. There are alligators, flamingos, manatees and a whole lot more. You can go on guided tours or adventure out on your own. And if you’re into hiking or biking, the state trails are absolutely stunning.

4. Booming Economy

The Floridian economy is thriving. Some of the state’s strongest industries include tourism, finance, international trade and life sciences. Just about every professional career person will have no problem securing gainful employment here with economic security.

5. Amusement Park Capital of the World

Although Disneyland may have been the start of theme parks in the state, it certainly wasn’t the end. There are so many amusement parks in the state, including Busch Gardens, Legoland, Sea World and Fun Spot America. Luckily these parks are sprinkled around the state, so wherever you land, you won’t be too far away from a full day of amusement, funnel cake and big cups. And if theme parks aren’t really your thing, there are plenty of museums and cultural attractions, like the Dali Museum and Wynwood Walls.

Florida has a lot to offer folks who are looking for a change of scenery or a better life. The climate, the culture, the entertainment and even the architecture is something to look forward to experiencing. And if you need one more reason to make the move, Florida has no personal income tax.
