As soon as The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game arrived from Learning Resources, I liked the look of it. The box is big and in the shape of a tree and the colours and picture are really bright and appealing.

The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game is suitable for two to four players. The game itself is easy to play and I played it with my mum, L who is 7 and A who is 3. You place all of the acorns into the tree box. Each player takes a turn at spinning the spinner and wherever the arrow lands on the spinner tells you whether you pick an acorn of a set colour, pick one or two of any colour, miss a turn and lose all of your acorns or sneakily steal acorns from another player.
When you have spun, if you have acorns to collect, you pick them up with the squirrel and place them in the corresponding colour hole in your log. The first person to fill their log is the winner.
We all enjoyed this game, it is fun and easy to play and as it is colourful and fun looking, it really appealed to both L and A. A struggled to use the squirrel squeezers and had to pick the acorns up by hand, but she took it very well, when some of her acorns were sneakily stolen by other players. L particularly liked the design and layout of the game as he is really interested in animals and nature at the moment.
Overall, this is a lovely game and I would recommend it if you have children aged 3 to 7 or 8. I like the look of the game and the simplicity of it. My only concern is that as everything is made out of cardboard; although it is really strong, I do wonder about the longevity of the game as I know a lot of our most loved games now live in tattered boxes, but I hope that it lasts as the children love playing it.
