I may have mentioned once or twice that I have a little bit of a cookery book obsession. It does drive my husband slightly crazy, but I can’t help it, I love them. Cookery books are inspiring and helpful, sometimes, I just love flicking through them. I now have just under ninety cookery books of different types and I love them all even though they are starting to take over the house. So when I met up with the very lovely people from Parragon at Britmums Live a few weeks ago, when there was a choice of books to review, as much as there were some amazing children’s books (sorry kids), I had to go for the cookery books.
Vegetarian Cookery books are not something I often look at so I was really intrigued by the Vegetarian Step-By-Step book and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It is a really lovely book and even just flicking through it, I saw lots of lovely recipes that I knew I would like to have a go at making.
It is a beautifully set out book and each recipe is easy to follow and broken down into steps with photos to help with each stage of the meal.

There is a lovely mix of recipes including soups and starters, salads and light meals, midweek and family suppers and special occasions. The recipe for chard and ricotta filo pie caught my eye and I had a go at making it last week. I couldn’t find chard anywhere, so I used spinach instead, but it was quite easy to make and a really lovely meal.

Next up will be caramelised sweet potatoes, which look amazing and spring onion, pea and ricotta tarts which also look really delicious.
I am thrilled to have been given this book to review as it fills a gap in my collection and with some lovely healthy meat free meals, I am hoping that some of the recipes will be a hit with the children too. The Vegetarian Step-By-Step cookery book is available to buy from Amazon.
I received a copy of Vegetarian Step-By-Step Cookery Book free of charge for the purpose of the review, all images and opinions are my own.

I got this one too, and its next on my list I too appear to have a slight recipe book obsession *oops*
