Very Easy Home Made Lemonade Recipe

July 8, 2013 in Recipes

Why have I never made home made lemonade before? It is delicious, thirst quenching and so easy to make. I have made several jugs of it over the weekend and in this lovely hot weather, we have all decided that this is simply the best and most refreshing drink to have and for all of the adults and children to agree is praise indeed.

So I have decided to share this recipe with you and if you have never made it before, you really should.

You will need;
4 lemons
1 litre of sparkling water (you can use tap or still water if you prefer)
150 – 200g caster sugar

Cut three of the lemons in half and squeeze the juice out into a bowl.  When you have finished, strain the juice to get rid of any pips.  Tip the juice into a large jug and add the sparkling water.  Add 150g of the sugar and give a really good stir.  Taste the lemonade to see if it is sweet enough and add more sugar until you are happy.  Give the lemonade another really big stir.  Finely slice the last lemon and add to your lemonade with a few ice cubes.

Serve and enjoy.
