So has it made a difference to A’s reading habits? She loves the bookcase. We put a cushion and a beanbag down by the bookcase and I explained to her that she could choose a selection of books from her bedroom to put in it. She made several trips upstairs and got a really good mix of books. Since the bookcase has been there, she has often stopped, sat herself down on the beanbag and read a book to herself or picked up a book for me to read to her. I think that it catches eye more than the old one and it has definitely made her want to read more during the day, which I think is amazing.
