Blowing bubbles is one of life’s simple pleasures.
Even when the children were really small, the appearance of bubbles had a magical effect on them. Sitting mesmerised as they filled the room and then popped into thin air followed by the excitement of chasing them around and popping them.
We haven’t had bubbles for a while so I picked up a bubble wand for 50p in the supermarket and that was money well spent. A and I spent a lovely time this afternoon playing with the bubbles, taking it in turns to be the blower and the popper. The wind kept catching the wand and a sudden gush of bubbles would fill the garden before speeding away and A roared with laughter each time this happened.
I loved watching her trying to blow the mixture as hard as she could, her cheeks puffed out, focussing hard. The photos remind me of when she was a baby with her little chubby cheeks.
Simple pleasures and happy memories.

Gorgeous photos! It’s amazing how much fun they can have with bubbles. Even my 10yo son loves playing with them.

Bubbles really are a magical thing – it’s great when they reach the stage they can blow their own too! 😀

Oh, fabulous! I once spent half an hour trying to persuade the bubble man on the South Bank to give me his bubble recipe but he wouldn’t! Grrrr!

She’s adorable. We have a stash of bubbles in our utility room and I never remember to get them out. Next sunny day I’m on it! Thanks so much for joining in and sorry I’m so late sharing. Keep going away for weekends!
