How often do you check an online review before you buy something? If you are anything like me, most of the time. It is so easy these days to find reviews of a variety of products and it can really help you to make the right decision.
Revooly.com is a new site that offers price comparison and detailed and honest reviews of a wide range of products from toys to household electrical items. Not only does it offer reviews, but if you register on the site, you can review the products you buy and revooly.com will offer a percentage discount that they will then reimburse you when the review is completed.
Absolutely anyone can write a review for revooly.com once they are registered, you choose the item that you are buying and reserve that review slot for two weeks. Once you have the item, you log in, write your review (they give you very clear guidelines how to write the review) and you will be paid via a Paypal account at the end of that month, subject to the review being accepted. The amount of the discount varies from product to product but the percentage discount can be anything from 5% to 50%
I was asked to give revooly.com a try and I wanted to buy an iPad Mini. My first job was to log in and have a look at the current prices for the model that I wanted to buy.
I opted to buy the iPad through Amazon and I clicked to reserve my two week review slot.
When you reserve your review slot, it will tell you exactly how much money you will get paid on completion of the review.
The iPad Mini came within two days and once it had been set up and used for a couple of days, I was ready to submit my review. The idea with the reviews is to imagine the things that you would want to know about the item; delivery, ease of use, advantages and disadvantages. I followed the review guidelines and found them really useful. Revooly.com ask for 600 words and two or three photos; this gives you the chance to really cover everything about the product. Make sure you look at their guidelines if you are writing a review, as you won’t be paid if the review isn’t suitable.

Personally, I love the idea of revooly.com. A site that offers detailed, honest reviews and price comparison is great but having the option to get paid to for reviews is a brilliant idea. If you are buying online, any money back is a big help, especially this time of year.
