My top Christmas picks from Smiggle

Smiggle

Smiggle really have made an impact on my Christmas shopping this year. It is hard to resist the bright, bold colours and innovative ideas that are bursting out of their shops. I blogged about Smiggle last month when I visited their new store in Solihull with the children and this week I went to their brand new store in the Bullring in Birmingham to take the rare opportunity to do some shopping without the children.

Smiggle Bullring BirminghamThere are so many amazing stocking fillers in store, from alphabet keyrings to novelty erasers, scented pencils to spy marker pens. Everything comes in the colourful Smiggle style and often with an interesting twist such as pencils that have times tables on and an eraser set in the shape bowling pins and a ball.

As well as a huge choice of stocking fillers, there are some fantastic gift ideas and here are a few of my favourites.  The Mini Lucy Satchels (£26) caught my eye last time and they are so beautiful, I would love one myself.  The Wizzbang tape dispenser (£15) would liven up any desk and my daughter would love to find the rainbow ribbon (£7) in her stocking on Christmas morning. Another of my absolute favourites is the sky high clock (£16.50), these are one of a range of amazing watches and alarm clocks and project the time onto the ceiling.  Another brilliant stocking filler idea is the macarons eraser box (£4) which contains six scented macaron erasers which look and smell almost good enough to eat.

Smuggle Christmas 2014

If you thought that Smiggle is just for girls, you would be wrong.  There are ranges and individual gifts that are perfect for boys and one that caught my son’s mischievous eye was the memo notes launcher (£8.50).  Such a fun idea; this is a memo pad with a catapult so you can write notes and then launch them at people, possibly not the best thing to take to school.  The pin art star (£10) is a modern twist in a classic toy and these are great fun for kids of all ages.  The light mega swirls (£20) are lamps filled with water and glitter swirls around inside when it is switched on.  The play graphic headphones (£20) and the a5 lockable fluffy notebooks (£10) would be perfect for older children. My final choice is the watch this space watch which cleverly displays the time when the face is pressed.

There are now sixteen Smiggle stores across the UK with more opening soon and lots more planned for next year.  The products aren’t available online but I can’t recommend Smiggle enough, so if there is one near you, you must go and see for yourself.

I was invited to see the new Birmingham Bullring Smiggle Store and received a goody bag.

Don’t know how I missed the notes launcher – that would do nicely for my husband.

I think I spotted a Smiggle store in Bristol a few weeks ago. I wish I’d popped in because the stuff looks brilliant. My daughter would love it! 🙂
