Before you think I have gone completely crazy, bedtimes have become a bit of a chore in this house since Christmas and on one of the many evenings spent pacing up and down after my children, I was quietly humming Let it Go to myself as it is constantly on in my car at the request of my Frozen-obsessed daughter. Feeling slightly frustrated, I started to make up my own lyrics about wanting them to sleep and this is what I ended up with. It made me chuckle and I have to say that I do love my children very much, but there are days when I really, really want them to go to bed and stay in bed.
Anyway, imagine this to the tune of Let it go ….
The kids all went to bed early tonight, not a child to be seen
It might feel like isolation but there is more to this than there seems
The kids are howling and I want to go and hide
I couldn’t keep them quiet
Heaven knows I tried.

Totally feeling the pain too. We don’t often have tears (well, maybe once every couple of weeks from my daughter), but we have all the rest of it. On and on and on…

this made me chuckle – we are having boundaries seriously pushed by our 14 year old and he’s refusing to go to bed at 9.30 – hubby and I just want an hour on our own but I think we have got to the stage where this won’t happen!

Hahaha hilarious! My son has been crawling in with us around 2am recently, which is driving me just as crazy as I can’t get back to sleep.
