Men are so difficult to buy for aren’t they? NO they are not. If you are living under this misconception then I am here to show you that this is not the case. There are so many great options for men, whatever their interests. When I decided last year to do 40 presents for my husband’s 40th birthday, I did wonder if I would find 40 things but I actually discovered so many fantastic things that I could have bought many more. So I have searched far and wide for my favourite gift ideas for Father’s Day in June and beyond, many of these gifts would be perfect for birthdays, Christmas or any other special occasion.

Tesco have a great range of present ideas that are perfect for getting outside; whether it be to barbecue something special for supper or do a spot of gardening. This small charcoal bucket BBQ is only £10 and is such a great idea as it is fully portable, so great for the garden, camping trips or even for a day out. It is really easy to put together.
Tesco also have a range of gardening tools that are great value and good quality too. My husband does like to ‘potter’ around in the garden and he was very impressed with the weight and the quality of the gardening tools.
If you are looking for gardening gifts, The Worm That Turned is the perfect website and the ‘gifts for him’ section of the website made me chuckle as it states that the selection of gifts are ‘Individually approved and tested by a bloke’. Armed with that recommendation, I was so impressed with their selection.

Working from a small workshop in Holborn, Central London, they invite customers to come along meet us and even cut the cloth with us. The workshop is small, but smartly presented and meeting customers this way allows us to show them our passion for bespoke suit and shirt making. What I love about their service is that they also offer a twist on our service – going out to see customers whenever they want with our Saville Row by Scooter service! How wonderful is that? They accept that life is busy and that men don’t always have time to fit in a consultation, so they will bring the consultation to you by Vespa.
Crazy about Cooking
If the man in question is crazy about cooking, why not look for some ideas to help fire his enthusiasm. Joseph Joseph are one of my favourite brands when it comes to kitchen utensils and cookware with their bold colours, clean lines and innovative multi-functional products. I am seriously loving their new selection of Multipeels; with four different designs, each comes with a peeling blade and easy-grip handle but each one has a small added tool to add that special touch to your preparation.
The Flavouriser is a tool that I know would appeal to my husband and it is also multifunctional. With a textured face for tenderising, smooth face for flattening, a pestle top for grinding and a citrus reamer end for juicing, this clever little utensil is a one stop meat preparation tool. To find out more about the amazing Joseph Joseph range, visit their website or you can find them on Facebook or Twitter .
What about some shiny new gadgets that you could both share? Kenwood have a range of products that would be perfect for any budding chefs or culinary creators. I particularly liked the Kenwood kMix Hand Blender and the Kenwood Persona Toaster which has adjustable slots and can toast anything from croissants to paninis.
If I asked my husband what his favourite thing in the world is, after the children of me (of course), he would say his Tassimo coffee machine. I bought if for him at Christmas and he loves it. It is easy use, there are a great selection of coffees and other drinks and it is easy to clean and maintain. Perfect for coffee on the go.
The Tassimo Charmy (T55) has an advanced water filtration system along with a strength adjustment to make your drinks perfect for you and the Tassimo Vivy (T12) at only 17cm in width, packs in the usual features and fits into the smallest spaces. Gifts for the Adventurer
Sometimes you want a gift that stands out for the crowd and there are lots of experience gifts that are just perfect for someone who likes to do something a bit different.
The Top Gear Track Experience will let him unleash his inner TV presenter, and even takes place at the home of the much-loved TV show – Dunsfold Park in Surrey. Dad can have a go at getting his name on the leaderboard for the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car challenge, experience a fast lap driven by none other than The Stig and even have a go at off-roading while being fired at by a man in a tank. There’s also the option to see whether a drive in the Ariel Atom provides a cheap alternative to a face lift.
This experience sounds exhilarating and I know my husband would love an experience like this. Prices range from £60 to £175 and you can find out more on the website.
Let’s Race based in Horley near Gatwick Airport offers the exhilaration of Formula 1 racing with full motion racing simulators and can provide the perfect opportunity for any motorsport fan to let loose and offers a great gift for those dads who have everything.

Gillette’s Fusion is my husband’s usual choice of razor and having tried a variety of brands in the past, he now chooses them over any other. The Gilette’s ProGlide razor with Flexball technology is the latest model and would make a perfect Father’s Day gift.
If you are looking to spend a little more, the cruZer5 Clean Shave from Braun is the perfect choice for getting rid of unwanted facial hair at the touch of a button. The twin foils and integrated middle trimmer shave progressively closer while at the same time being super gentle to your skin. Even on three-day beard, the cruZer5 Clean Shave delivers an impeccable performance. My husband has been using this for a couple of weeks now and has enjoyed using it, saying that it leaves his skin feeling much smoother than his usual razor.
If the man in your life is trying to get healthy why not invest in a present that will help him on his way. A few months gym membership, a new pair of trainers or some training equipment that can be used at home. We recently invested in a NutriBullet and my husband can often be found whipping up healthy concoctions in the morning as it is so easy to use. What about a subscription to a sport or fitness magazine to help motivate him or if he is trying to give up smoking why not consider electronic cigarettes as a way to slowly cut down.
The Best of the Rest
Books make great presents and my husband always enjoys a good sporting biography or autobiography. This will be top of his list this year as he was a huge fan of Boris Becker and like me, loved his brilliant entrance into Wimbledon when he was only 17 years old. Unbelievably that was 30 years ago and this book has been written to coincide with the 30th anniversary of that first dramatic entrance to Wimbledon in 1985.
Boris Becker’s Wimbledon will be released on the 8th June 2015.
If the Dad of the house is anything like ours, he loves playing with the children’s today almost as much as they do and can get a little carried away at times too. HEXBUG have a fantastic range of high-tech toys so, whether your dad is a secret skateboard fan, likes to build jumbo robots or prefers to take you on in the ultimate sci-fi dual, HEXBUG is the perfect choice for Father’s Day.
The Tony Hawk Circuit Boards by HEXBUG Powered Board Set (RRP £14.99) contains a finger board skateboard with remote control capability and we have had lots of fun trying it out. Every Dad is One in a Minion, isn’t he? We love Minions in this house, so my children loved the Minions keyring and medal. Both are available in Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s for just £4, the keyring can be personalised with a photo of your choice.
Available from Amazon and Toys R Us (RRP £6.99) the DC Heroes Superman LED Lite is a super cool keyring which has poseable legs containing a torch making it a fun and useful present idea (you may well have to hide it from the children though as I think they might like this one too).
The National Gallery London has an online shop with a wide range of interesting gifts and they have a great selection for Father’s day. Take a look at their website for these and lots more great ideas.
