1 city.
2 adults.
5 children.
8 miles.
70 sculptures
100 toilet stops.
It has to be Shaun in the City.
Inspired by the Gromit Unleashed trail in Bristol two years ago, we were all excited to go Shaun hunting in Bristol this summer. There are 70 Shaun the Sheep sculptures all beautifully designed and decorated by artists, designers and celebrities all across Bristol until the end of August. There is an app and online maps to help you find them and there are also maps available from certain places in Bristol.
We never expected to find all 70, well not in one visit anyway. We were aiming for 20 and pretty soon we had found quite a few. The thing with children though is that they constantly need food or drinks or the toilet or to sit down or to go to the toilet again.
These trails are the most brilliant idea to get children out and walking. We did have the occasional moan, but all of the children got into the spirit of it and enjoyed the challenge of finding ‘just one more.’
We clocked up nearly 8 miles in the end and it was lovely to explore Bristol and we saw lots of interesting things along the way. How did we do? 23 Shauns in total which was not bad.
Will we be back to find more? Definitely!
If you can get to Bristol this month and fancy counting sheep check out the website for more information.

Fab photos! You found a few we didn’t find. I think we’ll be going back for more next week!

I would love to count these sheep. I wish they’d come on a bit of a holiday up North 🙂
