Now we do love baking in this house but there just never seems to be the time and then when I do have some time, I often don’t have the correct ingredients to hand, which is really frustrating. So I was really intrigued by the baking kits from Bakedin.
Bakedin sells baking kits and micro baking mixes. Their bake shop sells six signature baking kits to create delicious cakes, cookies, brownies and buns plus a range of micro baking kits which contain the ingredients to make four individual mug baking cakes. Their Baking Club is a subscription-based service where customers sign up to receive a different recipe through their doors every month, each recipe is approved by Michel Roux, the world famous pastry chef.
The concept behind both the baking mixes and the Baking Club kits is that all of the dry ingredients and a recipe card are included inside the boxes but there can also be other useful things such as a skewer, baking paper, a butter measure, and a baking tin. All the ingredients are weighed out and labelled and the only thing that needs to be added is eggs, butter or a little bit of milk and water.
We were sent a Baking Club box which contained the dry ingredients needed to make a malt chocolate cake and it looked amazing on the recipe card. My six-year-old daughter enjoys baking and was keen to ‘help’ and the lovely thing about this baking kit was that with a little help reading the recipe and opening the bags, the recipe is easy to make with children, She mixed up the ingredients and helped me decorate the cake once it was cooked too and the end result was a delicious, moist chocolate cake and we were really pleased with the taste and how it looked.
Whether you are a parent who loves to bake with children or just someone who enjoys baking but doesn’t always have a lot of time, the Baking Club subscription is such a good idea. It saves you time and means that you don’t have to hunt for ingredients. A monthly subscription costs £7.99 for a different kit each month and at the moment, if you sign up, you can get your first kit for £3.99. This would be a lovely treat for yourself or a perfect gift for someone who enjoys baking.

That cake looks delicious! I remember my mum buying Brownie baking box kits when she was super busy when I was little, we always loved helping with them! 🙂

Mine are always nagging me to start baking again, I think I could manage by using this (either that or I am inviting myself around for tea and cake)
Ooooh, I do love a good baking kit. We are forever frustrated to find a good recipe and then find we don’t have most of the ingredients.
I love the idea of anything that gets kids in the kitchen cooking so these kids look fab x x
