We do receive more than our fair share of parcels in this house. Most of them are blog related, others simply because I can’t resist an online bargain. Most of the parcels are for the children, sometimes they are things for the house or me but not many are for my husband.
When a large, mysterious-looking parcel arrived with Braun on the front, he was quite excited. I have worked with Braun before and he is a big fan of their products. The Braun Series 3 3010BT 3-in-1 Electric Cordless Wet and Dry Shaver for Men certainly did not disappoint.
The Braun Series 3 3010BT 3-in-1 Electric Cordless Wet and Dry Shaver for Men comes with lots of accessories. It comes with:
- 3-in-1 tool to shave, trim and edge
- 5 attachment combs from 1mm to 7mm to achieve a variety of beard styles
- Charging cable
- 2 rechargeable batteries
- Storage bag
- Cleaning brush
As with all of the Braun shavers, the design is very sleek and they are designed and engineered in Germany. Light and easy to hold and control, the Series 3 3010BT is designed to be used in straight strokes. This makes it easier to shave and stops you from going around in the same spot which can cause skin irritation.
So what makes this such a good shaver. We already know that Braun is a quality brand that we have used and trust. With this shaver here are also lots of great features. Firstly it comes with rechargeable batteries, so it can be used cordless. Just a few minutes charging provides enough power for one complete shave. In addition, it is completely waterproof. You can even use this shaver in the shower which is a great timesaver.
As it is a wet or dry shaver, this is a big bonus for my husband as he has sensitive skin and as much as he likes a dry shave, he needs a wet shave every couple of days. This is perfect for him as he can have a wet shave using foam or gel and the shaver is easy to clean under the tap. But on those mornings when he doesn’t have much time, he can have a quick dry shave.
My husband isn’t a bearded man at the moment but the Series 3 3010BT comes with five combs that can attach and create a variety of different beard styles.
Obviously, all of the features and accessories are important but the most important thing is how well it performs. This Braun shaver has three independent shaver heads, for an efficient cut. It also has two SensoFoil™ heads which have a thin foil layer for a close cut that doesn’t irritate your skin. MicroComb technology ensures a thorough shave, with the two outer heads guiding hair towards the middle trimmer head, which cuts through even longer and thicker hair.
He has been very impressed with how close it shaves. The flexibility of combining wet and dry shaving helps him to keep his skin in good condition and he likes the way the shaver leaves his skin smoother for longer. In his words, “it is an easier, cleaner closer shave without the hassle and mess of a razor and no cuts.”
The RRP of the Braun Series 3 3010BT 3-in-1 Electric Cordless Wet and Dry Shaver is £119 but can be found on offer at around £60 – £70. My husband has said that this will save him a lot of money on buying razor blades, so it will be cost effective too.
