Stationery you will love from Smiggle this Summer

July 2, 2017 in Reviewing, Stationery

My daughter and I both love Smiggle.  I think it is safe to say that I loved it first as she was a bit too young to appreciate it.  But now, she is totally addicted.  As are most of the girls in her school.  Where the middle school children all have Hype bags, the primary school is full of Smiggle bags.  As she goes into Key Stage 2 in September and can now take a normal bag, she is already lining up Smiggle bags to buy.  The problem is that she can’t choose one and did cheekily ask if she could have one for every day of the week!

We did, however, receive some goodies to review from Smiggle and coupled with a few buys from a recent trip to our nearest store, we have quite a nice stationery haul which we are going to share with you today. No bags though as yet, she is still deciding.

Spritz Bottle

My daughter has been nagging me to get her a Spritz Bottle for a few months. We bought it just before the recent heatwave and I have to say that it was worth every penny.

This ingenious drinks bottle has a spout for drinking but it also has a water mist function which is perfect for warmer days. My daughter absolutely loves this bottle and it is also sturdy and a good size.

Smiggle Says Pop Out Pencil Case

Pencil cases feature quite highly in this house. I love them and I have passed that onto my daughter and she has quite a collection already.  She absolutely loves the Pop Out pencil cases.  If you have never seen one, it is a like a pencil box with lots of hidden compartments that pop out at the touch of a button.  How much fun is that?

This is the Smiggle Says Pop Out Pencil Case.  This design comes in five different colours and has cool compartments including 2 main compartments, pen slots, eraser drawer, mini calculator, pen/pencil drawer & built in sharpener.  These prove to be highly entertaining to kids and with so many brilliant things included, it is practical too.

Glitter Marker Pens

If yo have a new pencil case, you need to fill it with something and these Glitter Marker Pens are just the thing.  With a similar consistency to felt tip pens with added sparkle, these make your colouring fabulous.  A really fun idea without the mess of real glitter.  They have been  a huge hit with my daughter

Spikey Scented Alphabet Keyring

If you asked my daughter to pick her favourite things in Smiggle, a keyring would alway be on the list.  She loves their keyrings and always has one attached to her school bag.  Her current A is a mini maze which is rather cute and is handy as it keeps her entertained.

These Spikey Scented Alphabet Keyrings are really pretty and they smell amazing too.  With gentle plastic spikes, it is also quite therapeutic to play with too.

Pocket Pals Mini Journals

Now, these little Pocket Pals Mini Journals are a brilliant idea and I love them as much as my daughter does. There are 8 journals to collect and each one has a different animal on the front. Each journal comes with a cute scented badge of the journal character, a bookmark, scented stickers, dice template & game piece.

But what I really love about these mini journals is what you can do inside them. They have been designed to encourage children to express themselves.  Each journal focusses on a different thing.  We received Blessy who is a gratitude journal, Precious is a memory journal, Skye is a book of dreams.  There is a book of happiness, feelings, adventures, kindness and favourites.  At £6, the journals are really collectable and make a really lovely collection for children to work on.  In addition, all eight boxes combine to make a game board called Rainbow Rider which is a little bit like Snakes and Ladders.

Children’s mental health and well-being is such an important issue. It has been proven that encouraging children to keep a journal of the positives in their lives and their feelings can really help them to focus on the good things. So apart from being cute, there is a serious side to these little journals and I am encouraging my daughter to use hers every day.

Scented Party Eraser Tub

One of our favourite Smiggle ranges has always been the erasers.  They come in all shapes and sizes and look and smell good enough to eat. Some of them are almost too nice to use. The Scented Part Eraser Tub comes in a cute sweet-shaped box that you could reuse and contains four erasers with interchangeable pieces.

Smiggle Says I6 Phone Case

A phone case that smells like pineapples is a wonderful thing and I should know as I have this case on my phone.  It is a silicone phone case which is suitable for an iPhone 6 or 6S.

Smiggle Says I6 Phone Case

We had rather an interesting conversation about this case.  My daughter is seven and of course, she doesn’t have a phone.  She looked at the case for a while and then asked if she could have an iPhone 6 to go with it.  She was serious too.  When I stopped laughing I said I would use it until she was old enough to have an iPhone of her own.

Scented Pencil 4 Pack

The scented pencils never disappoint and we have bought the mixed pack a few times for party present.  We were sent the banana scented pencils and they smell quite literally good enough to eat.

Scissors

I realise that buying scissors is not the most exciting thing in the world but that is because scissors are quite dull.  Not in Smiggle.  I bought these for myself as I thought they would look lovely on my new desk.

Glitter Baton Pen

I treated myself to some new notebooks a few weeks ago and this week I am going to sit down with them and start sorting myself out.  Of course, this requires a nice pen and I love this Glitter Baton Pen that we picked up in store.  When you shake it or stand it up, the glitter and beads move around.  It is quite distracting but I am also hoping that it will inspire me to write great things.

Metallic Lipstick Eraser

Again, these erasers are just up my daughter’s street as it combines two of her favourite things; lipstick and stationery. Shaped like a lipstick and even twists at the base to lengthen, this eraser is scented and comes in three colours.

Find these and lots of lovely other things on the Smiggle website.

Some of these items were sent in return for a review.  All opinions and images are our own.
