We certainly are. Well, when I say we, I mean she. My daughter is a huge fan of the L.O.L. Surprise dolls. She has a collection of series one dolls and I have to admit that they are pretty cute.
If you have never had the L.O.L. Surprise! experience, it is all about the unwrapping. They are collectibles with a difference as each one has seven layers to unwrap. Each layer has its own surprise, which makes unwrapping each layer so exciting.
The first layer gives you a secret message which gives you a clue to which doll you are unwrapping. The second contains emoji stickers and the third is a water bottle charm for your character to drink out of. The next layer is footwear for your doll. The fifth layer contains a special outfit and the sixth has an accessory. Last but not least, the final layer is the biggest surprise, a cute three-inch doll. Each layer is covered with a plastic wrapper which has a special ‘zip’ making it easy for little hands to unwrap.
Once unwrapped, there is plenty of playing to be done. The character needs to be dressed and accessorised and then give her a drink using the water bottle charm. Then comes another surprise as you find out if she cries, spits or does a little wee! If you give her a bath, she might even change colour.
It was clear as my daughter unwrapped her L.O.L. Surprise! Series 2 that the new addition was going to be sporty, so she will fit in well in this house. When all was finally revealed, we had Kicks and she looks ready for a good old game of football. She is super cute and like the Series 1 dolls, the pods can be used in four ways; to hang out, a bath tub, a display case or a carry case.
There will be over 45 L.O.L. Surprise! dolls to collect and they cost just under £10. My daughter loves them with a passion and happily plays with them, swaps clothes and accessories and gives them all baths. I am certain that we will be adding more to our collection over the next few months as my daughter is already saving for her next one.
