A few days ago, I blogged about a challenge set by One4all Gift Card to use one of their gift cards to treat myself to a relaxing stress-free day. The One4all Gift Card is a multi-store gift card which can be used in stores and online for a whole range of different activities and products and in my last post, you can see how many different ways I discovered I could use the card for some serious me-time.
It was a tough choice and even though a spa day was a close second, in the end, I opted for a bit of a retail therapy. This time of year, I spend my life shopping but there isn’t a lot of money left to treat myself and as it was also my birthday last week, I decided to go mad and treat myself.
I can’t actually remember the last time that I went shopping just for me, it was amazing. The One4all Gift Card is accepted in lots of my favourite shops and before long, I was carrying lots of carrier bags and feeling quite pleased with myself.
The shopping trip in itself was a relaxing treat. I took the time to actually try things on, which I am never usually able to do. I spent a whole half an hour in Fat Face which is my favourite shop and my daughter’s least favourite. I wanted some boots and spent ages in Clarks trying on different boots which was bliss without a herd of bored children nagging to go home. I bought underwear from M&S, wandered around Primark, browsed books in Waterstones and bought some lovely stationery.
A girl can never have enough notebooks, in my opinion, and one of my favourite ways to relax is to write. WH Smiths have some gorgeous stationery ranges and I treated myself to three new notebooks for my new year projects.
While I was there, there were some great deals on family games and with Christmas approaching, I decided a new family game would be a lovely way to spend some time together over Christmas. I hope it will be relaxing, but we’ll see.
With the idea of relaxing and reclaiming some ‘me-time’, I wanted some treats that meant that I could manage some relaxation time at home, so I bought face packs and nail varnish from Boots and some gorgeous bath and body products from The Body Shop which I can’t wait to use.
When you have a One4all gift card, the shopping doesn’t have to stop when you leave the shops as there are lots of places that accept the gift card online too. I purposely saved some funds on the card to try online shopping with it. Thinking about the theme of the day; relaxing and taking time out, I was very tempted to a Glossy Box subscription and then I remembered that there Jojo Moye’s new book is coming out early 2018 that I was desperate to read. No sooner had the thought come to me, than I had pre-ordered the book from the Waterstones website along with a couple of other books to read in the new year.
Finally, one of the things that my sons bicker over and nag me about is headphones. They both love their music and enjoy plugging themselves into their phones but we seem to get through headphones like nobody’s business. It is a nightmare. They get broken, tangled, lost and I am forever buying new ones. So my final treat was to buy the pair of them a decent pair of headphones from Curry’s each which isn’t exactly a treat for me, but if it gives me some peace and quiet, it kind of is.
So that was a relaxing day and more thanks to the One4all gift card. It has certainly proven to be versatile and gives you lots of possibilities if you are looking to give someone the gift of relaxing ‘me- time.’ I had a thoroughly enjoyable retail therapy session and also bought lots of things that will help me to relax over the Christmas period.
In my next post, I will let you know a little bit more about how the One4all gift card works both in shops and online and what I thought about using it.

What a fab day! It made
Me chuckle that you still thought about the children and family as well, that’s exactly what I would have done.
What a lovely day Nikki. Funnily enough my kids got a few of these cards for Christmas and I think they are a great idea. Katie has already spent hers in Primark x
