I love a hamper. It is one of those things that is such a treat. It is exciting to delve in and discover the delights inside, it often gives you the chance to try new things, things that you might not otherwise try. They often come in nice baskets or boxes too which you can reuse. With Mother’s Day just a few weeks away, a luxury hamper would be the perfect Mother’s day treat.
Hamper.com is the online home of Oxfordshire company, Clearwater Hampers who are one of the longest established and biggest hamper companies in the UK. They have a wide range of hampers suitable for anyone and any occasion and they certainly have lots of lovely hampers just perfect to treat the mums. The Mother’s Day range of hampers vary in size and price and there are some gorgeous luxury hampers from £25 through to £150. Many of the hampers are around the £30 – £40 mark and are filled with treats that will make any mum smile.
From chocolate and sweet bouquets to wine, cheese and paté hampers, there are afternoon tea hampers and a food lover’s feast. Maybe the Edinburgh Gin hamper would be the perfect thing or the breakfast in bed hamper? It is so hard to choose as they all look so nice, all beautifully packaged in baskets and boxes.
In the end, for my special Mother’s Day treat, I opted for the Classic Collection hamper (£85) which contains a nice mix of food and drink. It is a more traditional hamper containing Rioja red wine and sparkling Prosecco along with a selection of delectable cheese together with savoury nibbles, preserves, indulgent chocolate truffles and lots more. All of these goodies are beautifully presented in luxury open gift basket. Such a treat.
For me, it was the perfect gift that I could share with my family. Lots of lovely things to try, a couple of unusual products that are now firm favourites, mint humbugs which I haven’t eaten for years and two amazing bottles of wine. What’s not to love about that? Now I need to drop a few hints to my children about the Edinburgh Gin hamper as that was my second choice and it would be such a lovely Mother’s Day present …
