If there was an award for being an expert in buying clothes for teen boys and men, I reckon I would be in a pretty good position to win it because if it was down to my youngest son and my husband to buy their own clothes, it would just never happen. They love new clothes, don’t get me wrong, but they both hate shopping.
This time of year, the tatty looking t-shirts and the dishevelled shorts that were worn to death last summer are all looking a little sorry for themselves. I leave it a few weeks to see if they will do anything about it and then, in the end, give up, as I do every year, and start looking for some summer inspiration.
This year, I have discovered Jacamo and it really is a one-stop website for the boys and men in your lives. With a range of brands, great prices and sizes from small to 5XL, there is plenty to choose from and I love Jacamo, where I can find a range of clothes to fit all sizes, tastes and ages that I have to buy for.
With the weather warming up, there are two things that are always on the top of the summer shopping list for all three males in this house; t-shirts and shorts and Jacamo have a great range of both. Choosing one t-shirt was tricky as there are so many “decent” ones (to quote the teen). Jacamo have their own range of clothing and there are some amazing t-shirts and they are really reasonable too. Alongside Jacamo are the boys’ favourite Adidas and also Firetrap, French Connection, JACK & JONES and more. Look out for the money-saving multibuy offers too.
Jacamo Purple Faded Sub T-Shirt £18
Adidas Essential 3S Tee £25
Jack & Jones Train T-Shirt £15
Adidas Athletic Vibe Tee £20
Jacamo Tiger Sub Printed T-Shirt £18
In the end, the favourite brand Adidas won and my son opted for this Adidas Essential 3 Stripe Tee for £23.
Next stop was shorts for my husband as his current favourite pairs of shorts definitely have a “lived in” look to them. Again, Jacamo had lots to choose from, whether you want swim shorts, casual, sporty or something a little smarter.
Fila Bow Swimshort £25
Firetrap Vigo Swim Shorts £30
883 Police Denim Cargo Shorts £50
Jacamo Axel Khaki Cargo Shorts £25
Jacamo Slim Fit Rope Chino Shorts £20
My husband is a big fan of cargo shorts and settled on a pair of Jacamo Axel Navy Cargo Shorts for £25 as they have good sized pockets and come with a belt.
The final choice came from the teen and with him, it is all about trainers. He likes certain brands, particularly Adidas and he was impressed with the choice of trainers Jacamo had to offer (high praise indeed from him).
Adidas Alphabounce RC2 Trainers £70
Adidas Solar Boost Trainers £140
Adidas VS Pace Trainers £43
Adidas Lite Racer Clean Trainers £55
Vans Atwood Lace-up Casual Shoes £50
With many of the trainers that my son likes being over £100, Jacamo’s prices seem much lowers in comparison. In the end, he chose a pair of trainers for school, the Adidas Duramo 2.0 ticked all the boxes and at £43 they tick my box too.
We received three items free of charge in return for his review. All opinions are our own.
