Artwork
Artwork can immediately add more colour and character to your house. By framing a couple of your favourite pieces and hanging them up, it adds texture to a room. You could even have a family a day trip with it. Pick a local gallery, take the kids and get exploring. Ask them which paintings they like and have fun with it. You’re supporting local artists, getting the kids interested in art and getting some fantastic work in the process – what’s not to love?
Changing Colours
Speaking of painting, have you considered changing your colour scheme? It doesn’t have to be a whole new paint job. It could be reupholstering your furniture, getting new curtains or cushions. A new splash of colour could make all the difference.

Well, who’s to say we can’t continue doing this in our family home? If you’re tired of living room, try experimenting with moving it around. Or you could even invest in a couple of new pieces to make the space feel different. You could start small, get a new piece of hallway furniture.Say a new coat rack or cabinet. See how this change make you feel and go from there. You don’t need to go overboard and get brand new everything, just small pieces here and there.
Plants
What better way of giving your home a new lease of life than putting literal life into it? Plants are a great addition to your space. They add a splash of colour, can improve the air quality and also offer a chance to teach your kid’s responsibility by watering them. Think outside of the living room as well. You can get some fresh herbs for your kitchen. Put flowers in your bedroom. You could add some succulents to the bathroom. Embrace your greenthumb and get your indoor garden started.
