So, You’re Going To Be A Mummy

April 22, 2020 in Parenting

The stick – after months on end, perhaps even after going through IVF – has finally returned a plus sign. You are about to be a Mummy, and it’s going to take a little time to feel the weight of the hand grenade that you have just released into your life. Being a mother is one of the best things that you can ever do in your life if it’s what you choose, but it’s also something that requires a lot of preparation on your part.

As a new mother – pregnant and growing a life from scratch – you are going to be faced with a great many choices. You have to think about the child that’s on the way, but you also have to think about your growing and changing body. There are some wonders that come with pregnancy, such as a dewy glow and lustrous hair. Then there are other things that you must consider, such as swollen feet, sore hips and the need for stylish and comfortable maternity clothes. It takes nine months for your body to change, but most women aren’t aware that in some cases, you never quite go back to your body before you were pregnant in the first place. It’s not that you won’t lose any additional weight; that comes in time. However, your hips may widen and stay there. Your feet can widen and lengthen – as can your nose. The body is remarkable and goes through many changes, and you can stay healthy and happy as your pregnancy progresses.

So_ You are Going To Be A Mommy

You are about to be a mother, and that means you are going to have emotional changes before the baby arrives as well as afterwards. How amazing it will be to raise and nurture a child of your own? But, it’s okay to feel overwhelmed – if a little scared. Women lose a little piece of their identity when they become a parent and the emotions that come with that can be a little difficult to cope with. However, with the loss of a tiny piece of your identity, you gain a whole new one. You get to discover your creative and stylish side by decorating a nursery. You get to choose beautiful new styles of clothing to fit your growing bump and your body after you have had your baby. You get to be known as a whole new person who is raising a human to be strong, polite, kind and take the world by storm.

You’re going to be a new person; the whole world to the new baby inside you. You are going to feel new feelings and experience new experiences, and it’s all in the name of the new baby in your womb. You have achieved something remarkable, and it’s time now for lists and preparation and feeling excited for the years to come. Life will never be the same again, and you are about to get everything you could ever want. It’s time to consider what you need and when to buy it – you’re boarding a ride you can’t compare to anything else in life.
