Go Glam and Pamper with Cool Maker #AD

November 8, 2020 in Reviewing

We have been huge fans of Cool Maker sets for a few years in this house but this weekend we got to try out two of their sets for a mother a daughter pamper session.  We had the best time, it was just what we both needed, some mother a daughter bonding whilst doing hair and nails.  The perfect pamper morning.

Hollywood Hair Extension Maker

As soon as I read about the Cool Maker Hollywood Hair Extension Maker, I loved the idea behind it and I knew it would be a hit with my daughter.  She loves nothing more than messing around with hair and has started to ask about colouring her hair.  At 10, she is a bit young for hair colour but with the Hollywood Hair Extension Maker, she can add some colour to her hair in a very easy and safe way.

Cool Create Hollywood Hair Extension Maker

The Hollywood Hair Extension Maker box contains: 1 Hollywood Hair Extension Maker, 12 Hair Extensions, 1 Curling Wand Bottom, 2 Hair Rollers, 5 Hair Clips, 2 Markers, 2 Extension Holders, 1 Spray Bottle and instructions.

The Hollywood Hair Extension Maker and some accessories

If your child loves messing around with hair and adding colour and accessories, this really is the perfect set for them.  The 12 hair extensions come as ribbons; some plain, some patterned but all in fabulously bright colours.  Each one has a plastic bobbin attached which is how the extensions are made.

You can choose a plain or a patterned extension or you can use the two markers to create your own patterns on the plain extensions. The extension maker itself looks rather cleverly like a small pink vanity case.  The top part houses the machine which magically creates the hair extensions and the bottom is a pull off storage box where you can safely store your accessories and extensions.

When you are ready, add AA batteries to your extension maker, clip in your choice of extension and press the on button.  In a few seconds, the machine creates a hair extension. It is so simple to use, you just need to make sure that the hair extensions feed through the machine straight.  Once ready, you attach on eo fate hair clips and you are ready to clip it into your hair.

If you want curls, that is possible too.  Using the curling wand, wrap the extension around and then use the spray bottle to gently spray the extension.  Leave to dry for a few minutes and then release.

The recommended age for the Hollywood Hair Extension Maker is 8 – 14.  My daughter is nearly 11 and she absolutely loved it.  She found the packaging and the design really appealing and quickly worked out how to use the machine.  She was thrilled with the end result and was really pleased to discover that she could use the exertions over and over again.  As a parent, I enjoyed watching my daughter create her hair extensions and it was lovely to see how much she enjoyed wearing the extensions.  They really are an easy way for younger girls to add some colour and fun to their hair in a really safe and easy way.

The Hollywood.Hair Extension Maker definitely gets a big thumbs up from us both.  The RRP is £19.99.  This would make an amazing Christmas present and if you were having a pamper party, this would make a really fun and affordable addition.

Go Glam Nail Salon

Next stop on our girls pampering morning had to be nails.  My daughter loves doing her nails and can’t wait for the day she can go and have her nails done professionally.  Until then, the Go Glam Nail Salon is the perfect thing.

Go Glam Nail Salon Boxed

The Go Glam Nail Salon contains: 1 GO GLAM Nail Salon with Dryer, 5 Pattern Pods, 2 GO GLAM Nail Polishes, 1 Top Coat Varnish and full instructions.

We already have the Go Glam Nail Stamper from Cool Maker which has been one of my daughter’s favourite things to play with when friends come over to play or she has a few days off school and wants fancy nails.

Trying out the Cool Maker Go Glam Nail Salon Box

Like the Hollywood Hair Extension Maker, the Go Glam Nail Salon is really easy to use.  There are step by step instructions to the Nail Salon slotted together.  It takes AAA batteries  and once ready, you can  make a start on transforming your nails.

It is really easy to use.  Each of the 5 pattern pods has a different design for your nails and we were really impressed with the different designs you could choose from: pugs, starts animal print, dots or butterflies.  There is a great choice to begin with but you can also buy additional refill packs with additional nail polishes and pattern pods.

Go Glam Nail Salon Pattern Pods

Once you have chosen your nail varnish colour and the pattern you want, you are ready to start your Go Glam Nail Salon experience.  Carefully paint your nails and allow them to dry using the dryer.  This takes a few minutes.  Next pop in your chosen pattern pod, press the button on the top of the machine firmly onto each nail to add a perfect pattern each time.  Seal off with the clear top coat varnish and place each nail under the dryer for two minutes.  The restyle are really effective, we particularly like the bold colours, the way the patterns blend with the nail varnish colours and of course, how easy it is to create fabulous looking nails.

Go Glam Nail Salon Finished Nails

The Cool Maker Go Glam Nail Salon (RRP £19.99) is suitable for children aged between 8 and 14.  Again this would be a great idea for a pamper party, they would all be queuing up to get their nails done with the cute designs.  My daughter certainly loved using it and can’t wait to try different combinations. I liked it so much that I have bought two more for friends’ daughters as I know they will love it to.
