This time last year, everyone seemed to be talking about going to Britmums Live except for me. I was really quite jealous as it sounded amazing. For those of you not in blogging circles, Britmums Live is an annual blogging conference run by .. well erm Britmums and there is so much good stuff going on that everyone who went last year had a great time. When the tickets were released in August for this years, I bought one straight away knowing that this was something that I needed to do. My husband thought I was nuts and asked me what I planned to do with our three children, but I assured him that everything would be fine and that I would sort it all out.
So I am somewhat embarrassed that having booked my ticket so early, I am probably one of the last to do my introductory post. However, I do have a good excuse; I have been marking 165 French A Level orals over the last few weeks as well as all the usual stuff, so I have been struggling to do an awful lot else. Still, better late than never as they say. So here goes;
Name – Nikki
Blog – Stressy Mummy (obviously) Stressy Mummy is me, just ask my long suffering husband and children.
Twitter ID – @stressymummy
Height – 5 ft 10 (but if I wear my new wedges I will be at least two inches taller!)]
Hair – Medium length blondish/brownish (depends on the light), straight and sporting a new fringe that I am still not completely convinced about.
Eyes – brown and I wear flowery black specs
Is this your first blogging conference? – No I did go to a Blog Camp in Birmingham last summer
Are you attending both days? – Oh yes indeedy apart from the obvious thing about not wanting to miss anything, do you think I would miss the chance to have two days of child free time with lots of like minded adults? No, exactly!
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2013? – Everything! The people, the speakers, the whole thing.
What are you wearing? – Absolutely no idea. I will however be wearing something.
What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2013? – I want to improve my blog and blogging and learn from the amazing range of speakers. Most importantly though, I am looking forward to meeting some of the lovely people that I have met and chatted to online and put a few names to faces.
Tell us one thing about you that not everyone knows – I would love to be on the Great British Bake off one day if my baking gets a whole lot better!
So that is me. I am very friendly and talk very quickly so you may have to tell me to slow down, but please do come and say hello as I don’t bite.

Hope you have a really amazing time. I wish I was coming now but we only get back a couple of days beforehand and then have a party Friday night so would have been bit mad.
Yay! So excited. Can’t believe it’s so close now. Starting to worry about how I’m going to get everything organised beforehand now.
See you there!! 🙂
Hope to see you there Nikki! I’m a lot shorter than you though so look for me at around knee level.
Hope you had a great time! I bought a ticket but chickened out of going. Maybe next year. x x
